FBM KLCI futures traded higher on better cash market

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 – The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI)futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives were traded higher Wednesday in line with the better cash market, dealers said.

As at 9.40 am, January 2013 rose eight points to 1,629, February 2013 gained 7.5 points to 1,627, while June 2013 and March 2013 added nine points each to 1,627 and 1,625, respectively.

Turnover totalled 3,234 lots while open interest stood at 32,457 contracts.

The underlying FBM KLCI was 5.23 points higher at 1,633.89 after 40 minutes of trading. – Bernama
