Malaysia reserves at RM433.4b

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 — Malaysia’s international reserves stood at RM433.4 billion as of January 31, up from RM427.9 billion on January 15, the central bank said today.

The reserves would finance 9⅟₂ months of retained imports and were 4.2 times the short-term external debt.

Other corresponding figures in ringgit for January 31 and January 15 that Bank Negara released were assets of RM478.1 billion (RM477.2 billion) and currency in circulation of RM73.1 billion (RM66.2 billion). — Reuters
