MyEG eyes 30pc annual sales growth in commercial projects
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 22 – MyEG Services Bhd, the e-government services provider, aims to record 30 per cent annual sales growth through its commercial products segment in three years.
MyEG group managing director Wong Thean Soo said currently they have about three to five commercial products including an on-line coupon system.
“We plan to achieve this target by leveraging on a broader range of commercial products besides educating customers on the products that we offer,” he told reporters after formalising a partnership with American International Group (AIG) here today.
The partnership will see AIG, a leading international insurance organisation, offering Malaysians various general insurance products through MyEG’s on-line and direct marketing platforms.
“Together with AIG, we hope to introduce more products which are suitable to sell to the on-line delivery channel,” Wong added.
AIG Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Matt Harris said under the partnership, auto insurance will be the first to be offered and within six months, it plans to extend it to other consumer insurance products including home contents, burglary and personal accident covers.
“We’re starting with auto insurance because the synergy that we have with MyEG,” he added.
Harris said MyEG customers will benefit from AIG’s award-winning auto insurance claims service and the company’s commitment to deliver its promise to Malaysians in their time of need.
Meanwhile, Harris said AIG Malaysia was very optimistic about its top line premium growth, projected at 12 per cent to 15 per cent over the next three to five-year period.
“We just close 2012’s year growth at 13 per cent. We believe we can continue to outperform the market on top line growth with the introduction of new business partner like MyEG,” he added. – Bernama
