The ringgit was lower against the US dollar in early trading today on mild selling pressure amid concerns over an early tapering of the stimulus programme in the US, dealers said.
At 9:25am, the ringgit was quoted at 3.2250/2280 to the greenback against yesterday's close of 3.2150/2180.
Meanwhile, the local unit was traded mostly lower against other major currencies.
The ringgit was little changed against the Singapore dollar at 2.5732/5762 from 2.5718/5750 yesterday, as well as against the yen at 3.1451/1487 from 3.1357/1389.
The domestic currency was also little changed against the British pound to 5.2755/2817 from 5.2771/2830 yesterday, and declined further against the euro to 4.4434/4485 versus 4.4242/4286 previously. - Bernama, December 12, 2013.
