Supermax Q3 pre-tax profit dips to RM33.8m

Revenue fell to RM245.513 million from RM271.419 million previously, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

The company said for year-on-year performance, the Group would have done better if not for the reduced profit contribution from associated companies which were impacted by a fiercely competitive market as new entrants tried to gain market share.

Moving forward, the latex glove conglomerate plans to expand its surgical glove capacity and nitrile latex gloves capacity.

“Currently, surgical gloves are far oversold,” the company added. – Bernama
