New Kia C’eed and Audi RS4 Avant unveiled ahead of Geneva debut
The model, introduced six years ago, has been stretched and flattened compared to its predecessor, giving a raked, sporty impression which the firm says is styled with ‘maturity and prestige’.
Offered in a five-door hatchback form, the C’eed has been made more aggressive, with wraparound headlamps, a sweeping roofline and rear spoiler and longer side windows.
Inside, the interior has been overhauled to offer a more ‘premium’ impact to drivers and passengers, with segregated switches designed to offer a ‘luxurious, big car feel’ and soft-touch materials.
The model’s full unveil will take place during the Geneva Motor Show, alongside similar events for plenty of other new and updated models -- including, Audi confirmed this week, the new Audi RS4 Avant.
Positioned somewhat at the other end of the spectrum to the C’eed, the RS4 Avant sports a 4.2-liter V8 powerplant producing 450hp, a seven-speed gearbox and a top speed of 280 km/h.
The car is lower and longer than the standard A4 Avant, with a sleek profile allowing drivers to burst from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, riding on 19-inch aluminium wheels with the standard RS four-wheel drive system.
The Geneva Motor Show runs March 8-18. — Afprelaxnews.com
