Dr. Frank Lipman unveils celebrity-studded health video series

July 20, 2012

MANHATTAN, July 20 — Author and integrative wellness guru Dr. Frank Lipman, founder of Eleven Eleven Wellness Center in Manhattan, just launched a new celeb-studded video series on healthy lifestyles.

“Be Well Week; Be Well Weekend,” which premiered on YouTube this week, is the first of the series and features US television show Salon Takeover star Tabitha Coffey discussing her gluten allergy and sharing a chia seed pudding recipe, while Lipman dispenses practical advice about gluten-free living.

Future guests include Peter Sarsgaard and Jake Gyllenhaal, who will also swap recipes and testimonials in a six- or seven-minute segment.

“We’ll cover sleep, sun, sex, supplements, cosmetics, yoga, toxicity — anything I feel is relevant and can make a difference in people’s lives,” Lipman says.

Lipman, a self-described “health evangelist” whose client roster includes the likes of Kevin Bacon and Gwyneth Paltrow, regularly contributes to The Huffington Post and Goop, and actively blogs about what integrative medicine -- a combination of diet, detox, yoga, meditation, and treatments such as acupunture, for example — can do.

To size up some of the competition, natural health physician and best-selling author Dr. Andrew Weil regularly updates his YouTube page with informative natural health videos. Also, famed writer and physician Deepak Chopra has recently expanded his YouTube network with “much more dynamic programming,” according to a video message from Chopra.
