Bursa reprimands Tamadam, Flonic Hi-Tech

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14 — Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd today reprimanded Tamadam Bonded Warehouse Bhd and Flonic Hi-Tech for breach of the listing requirements.

The breach by Tamadam was in respect of its announcement dated Feb 27, 2009, on its fourth quarterly report for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2008, which failed to take into account the adjustments as stated in the company’s announcement dated April 30, Bursa Securities said in a statement.

The company had reported an unaudited loss after taxation and minority interest of RM1.284 million in its fourth quarter 2008 as compared to an audited loss after taxation and minority interest of RM4.103 million in its annual report for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2008.

The difference of RM2.819 million between the unaudited and audited results for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2008, represented a deviation of about 219.5 per cent, it added.

The breach by Flonic Hi-Tech was related to its announcement dated March 30, 2009, on its fourth quarterly report for the financial period ended Jan 31, 2009, which failed to take into account the adjustments as stated in the company’s announcement dated May 29, said Bursa Securities.

The company had reported an unaudited loss after taxation and minority interest of RM3.616 million in its fourth quarter 2009 as compared to an audited loss after taxation and minority interest of RM6.086 million in its annual audited accounts for the financial year ended Jan 31, 2009.

The difference of RM2.469 between the unaudited and the audited results for the financial year ended Jan 31 represented a deviation of 68.3 per cent, it added. — Bernama
