A country is a human habitat made for coexisting communities. Just like the ecosystem, it can only thrive when all niches co-exist and share it. Anyone who is unwilling to share and promotes these anti-social behaviour does not DESERVE a country...

Sometimes our uniformed men have the wrong idea and are rather silly. People gather together to have a peaceful and non violent form of getting their sensible message through and what do they do? Set up road blocks and harrass them. I guess all the cyclist teams should beware and fear being treated the same as they are technically gathering in a group illegally. There are so much more important things for the police to do than to go after the organiser of such an event. We released known JI terrorists without much qualm, domestic crime rates are increasing and so many unsolved high profile murders abound. We love this country don't we. By the way, your police roadblocks disturb the peace and cause public disorder more than any such event, just remember the stupid gridlock you all caused when Hindraf were having their gathering. Please work for the people and not your overseers. We pay your salary don't we.

rini, just because an idea comes from a Chinese doesn't necessarily mean we Chinese will support it 100%... We need to see whether that idea is beneficial to all, not just the Chinese.

Yes, getting permits to perform a public gathering is good, but in this case it is being used to suppress any voice of opposition against the government. How about the uitm protest, in which no permit was granted, and yet the police is silent over the protest? According to what rini says, those involved in uitm protest should be put in Kamunting then. Why the double standards over protests such as Jerit protest, Hindraf protest and Bersih rally?

From what i see, it seems that the police has become "personal bodyguards" of the govt. Our men in blue should instead focus on reducing the increasingly high crime rates in Malaysia.

I suggest gafunky and yb migrate to australia or uk or usa if they want to protest like JERIT under the name of freedom human rights, etc,etc.

See how long can they survive there. Might as well stick Lee Kuan Yews style. Everybody are well fed, still can travel the world, still can sleep peacefully. The late Suharto ruled with iron hand and the people had enough to eat and the country was peacefull. Now that they given the ' democacy' and freedom to expres themselves by demos and protest, that country is already fucked up ! Look at Thailand now after the so called Democracy and freedom of Human Rights a what the US wanted in that country. Maybe Gafunky and Yb shud go there then.

When it comes to dealing with Mat Rempit, PDRM is just a sissy.

Big bullies....that's what they are. Only know how to bully peaceful and unarmed gatherings of people using water cannons & tear gas & manhandling helpless & defenseless people. How come there are no tough actions taken against Mat Rempits and the Ah Longs? The people will remember forever for what they did & they did not do.

your comment really made me laugh. reason is because I AM in Australia. And every other Malaysian that I know that are here are so much happier. I find the mornings reading the paper a very different experience compared to back home.

The difference? It is NOT depressing. The biggest stories that make front page are about commuters complaining about the lack of bins at train stations! When was the last time something like that happened in Malaysia?

Do you lack ambition daniel noor? Are you satisfied that Malaysia is constantly being left behind in every single aspect? South Korea reached the semi-final of the world cup, did you know that Malaysia used to beat South Korea easily? Our Universities used to be rated quite well globally, now the Phillipines, Indonesia, and Thailand has better ranked tertiary education. When I was young I could walk in lonely poor lit streets without having to constantly look over my shoulder, can you do that now?

Now tell me, are you satisfied with the direction Malaysia is taking? Its time to buck up, and people like you should get off your butt and DO SOMETHING. As for me, I think life is about progress, and if other countries can do it, so can we.
