KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 4 — Whatever the outcome of the political imbroglio in Perak, Malaysians should remember the names of Datuk Nasharudin Hashim, Mohd Osman Jailu, Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Hee Yit Foong forever.
They represent the worst species of politicians — self-serving; greedy; unprincipled; cowardly and dishonest.
How else would you describe politicians who go begging for votes wrapped in the colours of their political party, who rattle off reasons why Umno, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and DAP deserve to win, only to repudiate everything they told the voters less than 12 months later?
They are as despicable as Barclays Premier League footballers who kiss the badge of their club before adoring thousands only to demand a transfer 24 hours later for a bigger pay packet.
According to Nasharudin, he took the decision to switch from Umno to PKR after serious consideration of the country’s political situation and in the interest of his supporters and voters in Bota. Sure he did.
The fact that he had been forced to give up his parliamentary seat and the chairmanship of Felcra to Datuk Tajudin Rahman did not factor at all in his thinking to switch camps.
Why he did a pirouette today is anybody’s guess?
But rest assured it was not because he had a higher calling.
At a press conference in Putrajaya today, he rambled on: ”The situation in the state is critical. I have to make sacrifices.’’ Sure he did.
Then there is the case of Mohd Osman and Jamaluddin. Hard to believe that two individuals as slippery as these two managed to persuade the voters of Changkat Jering and Behrang that they were worthy of support in March.
That’s what happens when the political wave comes in, it brings in deadwood, sludge and flotsam.
The fact is that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and PKR were challenged to field a decent crop of candidates in Election 2008. So they left the bar low. The result: a motley crew of elected representatives.
For months Mohd Osman and Jamaluddin have been planning and scheming to leave PKR, no doubt prodded by Umno/BN officials who were seeking to narrow the three-seat majority which Pakatan Rakyat enjoyed in the state assembly.
Those who believe in conspiracy theories say that the duo are hoping that by going independent and backing the BN, the corruption charges against them will disappear.
No one knows their motivation except that they put their interest above everybody else’s. Worse yet, they behaved like fugitives, hiding from their families, friends and constituents like common criminals and then offering insulting excuses.
Jamaluddin said that he was incommunicado because he was having back problems and was seeking treatment in Pahang. He also said that loyal to PKR. A day later, he resigned from PKR.
Should anyone trust a lawmaker like him? Should any voter trust him or Hee the next time they stump for votes?
In life, we usually treat the unprincipled and dishonest people shabbily. Why should politicians be given a free pass?

In the March 08 election, PR could have put up monkeys as candidates and they would have won. The rakyat were just fed up with BN's racist and money-lusting ways. They just voted NON-BN.
I said it before - even if PR were to form the next Federal Govt, the systematic corruption would still exist. Whatever colors they are wearing, the smell of money is still the same.
So now what do voters do? They vote BN for 51 years, they get screwed. They vote for PR (these 3 monkeys), they ALSO get screwed.

katak hopping from one place to another..
The 2 PKR state assemblymen have not moral principles, caught with RM180K and charged
for corruption and admitted taking 2 china dolls as sexual gratification replying when someone
offers something,it is not polite not to accept..who can trust these two goons whose principles
are worse than scoundrels.
The DAP state assembly for Jelapang, yang berlompat Hee Yit Foong is even worse..without
blinking her eyelids, she said...who told you I am going to lompat..I just switched off my phone
for 12 hours only as I needed a rest...the next day,she lompat..
Then came the trojan horse, yang berlompat Nasaruddin,he lompat from UMN to PKR and in
less than 48 hours after all the glamours of spotlight and mediac coverage,he lompat back
to UMNO..to all these katak, please resign from your seat and stand as an independent
candidate,if you are voted by the people again, you have my respect and apology.
I pray and hope that the much respected and loved Sultan of Perak could see through
the perakians wish, to dissolve the state assembly and call for a full a fair election once
and for all.Whichever party wins either BN or PR,at least the party could rule with the
respect of the people.Lastly,as a Malaysian who have seen so much shame in our democratic
system and the katak lompat all over the place, please ensure that the anti-hopping law is
passed in parliament to end all these nonsense once and for all.Gosh,I am truly ashamed as
a layman and voter to witness what is really going on amongst our politicians who have no
principles whatsoever.

Are they going to move out of Perak?
I wronglly assumed that it would be impossible for PAS and DAP members to jump ship mid way. Look at Kelantan where PAS has ruled with a one majority margin and no one jumped. KUDOS to PAS! and KUDOS to all its YBs, truly honourable men.

But the DAP assembly woman from Jelapang is the worst of the 4 dogs! Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh or Lim Guan Eng are much senior than her; they could have fetched huge sums of money if they choose to deflect but they stay true to their principles. They have tasted the ultimate bitterness in Kamunting. They stayed with DAP through thick and thin and build the party with much sweat, toil and sufferings to where it is today so that a polio victim like Hee Yit Foong can win the election in Jelapang and become the only woman ever to hold a deputy speaker post in Perak!
But what does she repay to the rakyat who voted her and party that took her in and nurture her? She repays them with treachery and abandonment of the rakyat who voted for her just because she cannot get along with her party members and her greed for personal riches! Not only did she abandon her party and rakyat, she joined the very organisation which discriminates and called her, her parents and her children despicable names of "pendatangs". I could have understand if the 3 PKR assemblymen deflect to BN as they all come from the same corrupt mould which is UMNO!

She will soon realise there are certain things money can't buy! Stupid woman and serves her right for the horrible treatment she will get in Perak from now on!

But hei, look positively - look at the BIGGER picture. The despicable acts of corruptions of these people and the true colors of their characters will surface. Their masks are removed, then the Rayat will now know whose interests are they seeking - the Rayat or themselves only. It will infuriate the Rayat even more - it will snowball nationwide - it is unstoppable. It will work against the UMNO/BN - It is a blessing in disguise. Come GE 13, the Rayat will exercise their rights more wisely and judiciously.
It will come to the Rayat in an epiphany, not only in Perak, but the whole country - how base and contemptible our polititians can be to stoop so low to betray the trusts the Rayat had placed on them.
Even those ignorant and simpletons will suddenly wake up and realize how foolish they voted the wrong peole into power.

Tetapi akhirnya impian hanya tinggal impian.
Kalau benar pembangkang begitu yakin bahawa rakyat Perak masih menyebelahi mereka maka bersabarlah sehingga Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-13. Jangan kucar-kacirkan lagi kehidupan rakyat.
