KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 — Speculation is rife that four more state assemblymen from Pakatan Rakyat (PR) parties are ready to defect to the Barisan Nasional (BN).
The four names being cited in various text message exchanges are Keshvinder Singh (DAP) from Malim Nawar, A. Siva Subramanium (DAP) from Buntong and S. Kesavan (PKR) from Hutan Melintang and Tai Sing Ng (PKR) from Kuala Sepetang.
While it cannot be confirmed at this point if those named in the text messages are indeed going to defect, well informed sources in UMNO have confirmed that discussions are ongoing with five more PR lawmakers and that “there is a good chance” that three of the five will cross over in the next 2 months.
“The timeline of two months could mean it could be tomorrow on in 60 days,” the Umno source said.
The Malaysian Insider has also learnt that three of the Perak state executive committee positions have been left vacant for now and will be filled possibly only after the first seven have been sworn in tomorrow.
All of the two Chinese state representatives in BN Perak are expected to be in the state executive committee — newly independent Hee Yit Fong and Dr. Mah Hang Soon, MCA’s representative from Chenderiang.
Sungai Rapat representative Hamidah Osman has been made the senior state executive committee member.
BN is said to be looking for Indian representatives to cross over in order to make its line-up more multiethnic.
The death today of Pas MP for Bukit Gantang Roslan Shaharom today means that a by-election will happen in Perak and this will also be seen as a crucial referendum for both BN and PR.

BN can entice 3 or 300 PK low- life to defect will make no difference to Rakyat. Rakyat can see very clearly BN has fail her mandate to improve on the governance of Malaysia. Instead they are playing the stupid game of pimping for political prostitution.
Rakyat's puke will submerge them real soon. That is a given.

This isn't Sarawak in 1966, nor Kelantan 1977 nor Sabah 1994. The rules of the game have changed; we no longer live in a feudal world. Your millions and your threats will never overcome a Rakyat's heart. This is Perak 2009.

People are very dissappointed with the quality. On the other hand, they are welcome by UMNO with open arm. So let it be if you loose those bad one but you have to build the PKR again as well as Pakatan.
Anwar must learn for this incident and move on to be a better politician and having a strongly united Pakatan

Most regretful is the decision taken by the learned His Highness The Sultan of Perak knowing the situation very well. Hope in the next General Election the Rakyat will have better choise and liberty to choose whom they want to represent them. Be patient Perakians.

See the stress on all the non-BN politicians due to pressure from the police, the royalty and the chanting extremist that make police reports and apply royal & racial pressure.
Money only compounds this, weak characters will jump over.
Therefore, we Malaysians must keep supporting PK, DAP & PAS knowing they are doing a very difficult and stressful job. Thank you to all of you who stay and to those who stand out and wave the democratic flag. I salute all of you.
