IPOH, March 13 — Former mentri besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin has accused ex-PKR men Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu and Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi of being underperforming exco members during his reign.
He also denied his administration had been dominated by DAP.
In rebutting accusations made by Mohd Osman that both the DAP and Pas had dominated all decisions made in the state executive council, Nizar said:“They were underperforming. In fact, you could even say that their performances did not exist at all.
“They had many duties in their portfolios which they failed to carry out. You could ask the ex-officios — they know of this,” he said after visiting the site of the damaged “democracy tree” plaque here this morning.
Nizar added that all the decisions that were passed through the council had been made “collectively” and not just by one party or one individual.
“As I said, our ex-officios, including the State Secretary, the State Legal Adviser and the State Financial Officer, are also present at the meetings to give us their advice on matters pertaining to their respective duties.
“They know that whatever decisions we made, were made collectively. Hence, when Mohd Osman and Jamaluddin were a part of the Pakatan Rakyat, all decisions made were also agreed on by them,” he said.
Nizar also rubbished claims that the Ngeh-Nga cousins, namely DAP’s Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham and Nga Kor Ming, both former exco members, had been forcing their views upon the others during the council meetings.
“It is Umno which has twisted and distorted things. They have shifted the blame to the DAP, claiming that it has been the DAP that has been dictating all the decisions of the state government. This is not true,” he said.
As an example, Nizar said that the decision to administer freehold titles to the new and planned villages in the state had been a part of the Pas and PKR election manifesto and not the DAP.
“But when we formed the government under Pakatan Rakyat, the DAP too agreed with that decision. It was not their manifesto to begin with,” he said.
On Mohd Osman’s challenge for him (Nizar) to openly declare if he did not have any personal gain in any of the council decisions, Nizar said:
“We welcome all questions on this matter. In fact, we could have gained more when we were professional businessmen — before we became state representatives.
“I was a millionaire before this, when I was a professional engineer. You can check my bank account.
“I drove eight cars — three were Mercedes Benzs and I had a BMW too.”
Nizar added that after he became the Mentri Besar, his salary barely touched RM15,000 a month.
“Before this, I could have earned at least RM40,000 a month. Plus, I only spent a few hours in the office once a week.
“As Menteri Besar, I worked from 7am to about 2am. But we were willing to relinquish all these pleasures of life because this is not what life is all about,” he said.

If a person has maintained his basic principle, especially a politician, he should resign and go back to his rakyat. Dare you Osman.
As far as Perak is concern, we have written him off the record. History will condemn his actions.
written by cslee, March 13, 2009
please remember we are all on the same side
we held similar objectives
we face same foes
we aspires for Perak to regain the same 'silver-lining' (pun fully intended)
close ranks to face the (not) insurmountable foe
UMNO/BN had a good run
they cannot/did-not manage to hide their corruption and deeds
that's why perakians and selangor(eans) rose to the occassion
this is only a temporary setback
you can depend on me, and all sound minded perakians to come and
back you again - the way we did;
and this time with even more determination!
"forgetting what lies behind... press on to the goal and calling"
we have finally seen justice raise its voice
(vis-a-vis legal counsel for our dear speaker of the house)
lets fuel this fire
and let its light shine
let there be no more dark corners
in the corridors of Perak State Govt
let there be no more cracks to hide in
may Perak be the shining (pun intended again) example
for the other states - still in the dark
to see the way forward
we the perakians depend on you
who will dedicate to administering the state
we have faith ...

kemudian siapa yang malu muka. sendiri juga.
the Muslims say: put something at its rightful place. give the right of the rightful to the rightful one.
in Malay - meletakkan sesuatu pada tempatnya.
conducts of the likes of these two men as have been demonstrated further solidify the proof how umno politics have gone beyond repair.

Guys..it was Osman fighting for a position of an MB since he the leader for PKR back then.
Perak is soooooooooooooooo bloody lucky we didnt get a postman as an MB. For that I salute Sultan for his trully wise choice.
I was sceptical about PAS then...& certainly it was Nizar a modern PAS man that change all none muslim mindset. He trully gain the upmost respect from all racial, particulary the Chinese & Indian.
hey Osman..just becoz u envy for the MB post & since your probably unproductive decision not taken into consideration by the pR leader, you shouldnt take the $ offer & should relinguish your post if you decided not to contribute to the PR leaders.

i trust nizar more. why? from my own judgment, he is a loyal MP. why? because none of the PAS member has ever engaged in any of corruption or tell any lies. why? because a true and honest muslim would never discriminate, lie or break promises. the teaching of islam highlight the fairness and equalities regardless who you are. you be nice you get rewarded in the thereafter.
that is why nizar's word much more convincing.
god blessed nizar

And just for the fun of it..
One way or another you are just a typical UMNO backer/goons, Rini. Maybe not by appointment, but by association...Nothing wrong to admit it even though you might say you merely represent the silent pro-establishment majority.... Whoever has the brain to disagree with you (like yours truly) can wish to post differing views, can't they? Nothing to be ashamed of....Admit it, you are just another "you-know-what wiper"...;-)

But statements like Nizar's above sometimes really frustrates me. You cannot say now that the two assemblymen were not doing their job. If they were that bad, then why continue to keep them.
Besides, they were facing corruption charges. They should have been forced to resign based on that plus their lack of service which you are only now declaring.
Please do the job well, and don't complain later. Look at Selangor, only bringing out all the state-robbing acts of former MB now. Playing it too soft before.
Same with these two kataks! They should've been shown the exit long ago.
Ultimately, it is no different to UMNO and their ways of protecting wrongdoers like the late Zakaria guy in Port Klang.

I attended your ceramah 2 times so far; first at your official MB Residence before "moving out" and 308 1st Anniversary of Pakatan Rakyat last week.
From rakyat's reaction, I can easily tell that you are a great asset to PAS and PR.
You are the real modern breed of PAS generation who can bridge the fanatic and forward thinking type of supporters.
If Perakians, especially Chinese and Indians, who initially had reservations when you became MB due to your PAS affiliation, by now they are all very proud to have the BEST MB in Perak history.
Perakians, including myself, will heed your advice and pray to Almighty God so that Sultan Azlan Shah will realize SNAP ELECTION is the only solution to Perak crisis.

I cannot say the same on the BN side. Many have been working from the bottom up simply as members simply for a slice of the big pie that will be handed out when they got elected.

I now truly believe this person judging what he said above. This is the correct attitude of a true leader. A servant leader who is willing to sacrifice the pleasures of life to serve the people who voted for him, unlike the wives of the Selangor BN leaders (Balkis) who use the money for their own selfish pleasures -visit Disneyland. What a contrast between a true leader and one who put on sheepskin.

Come on BN guys and BN friendly guys, dont stoop so low for this cause.
Its all right that you were honest about your weaknesses for accepting bribes and sex.
But who would ever believe you about the Nga and Ngeh episode?
Try something different.
Why not go to your voters and tell them in your ceramahs?
After all you can get permits to do so, now that BN is 'ruling' and you are friendly to BN.
And if you are truly truly accurate, GOD will take care of you on D-Day.
By the way, why not you also write a book on good governance and tell everyone your 'successful' model, including the justifications for the disappearing acts during those crucial moments?
Many tertiatry education students all over the world would like to do research and thesis on your 'principles'.
Come, put Malaysia back again in the international radar.
Maybe, our currency will be stronger against Uncle Sam's - thanks to your achivements?

There is no doubt that Nizar's just a puppet and a ceremonial MB to Ngeh's Real MB who makes all the decision. Just look at Perak's decisions after GE, all of it are related to DAP's agenda. Also look at State Assembly procedings, Nizar most of the time didnt know what to say and had to be rescused by Ngeh. Even today Ngeh and Nag making all key statements.
PAS knows this, PKR knows this as does DAP. Well every knowledgeable Perakian knows this too.
Even if PR wins the next time, it will be highly unlikely Nizar will be MB as he was a compromise choice. Next time, DAP will amend state constituition to put Ngeh as the official MB.

In first place you are not fit to be Adun. As a adun you should devote yourself to the people. You should not think of personal gains. What you did was seeking personal entertainment like screwing around with prostitutes. Is this you called yourself sacrificing for race and religion? IDIOT!!!!!!!!

yes, that was on my mind too.
sadly i notice now there's this great divide of pr-bn and people like us in between. read the ' mainstream' media, you get all the bal*s-carrying tales. come to malaysian insider, you read all these nizar/anwar worshiping comments. what is the difference? i thought we are seeking change? we want a clean govt that does its duties. we do not need all these politicking.
but there is a sad part to my comment, kline and charlie... we are out-numbered by all those idiots!

Even you live poor it does not matter, most importantly you are highly respected by Perakian.
Ask the fake MB Zambry, he is good at nothing and just a merely politician, UMNO type of politician.
