Imagine being overtaken by express buses when you are driving at 110 km/h on our highways. I actually chased one and he was doing 140 km/h! Corruption and lack of enforcement are the culprits. How many more need to die before JPJ, police, CVLB take notice? More like hot hot chicken shit all the time. I even doubt the effectiveness of the complaint numbers printed on the back of commercial vehicles. Who is the operator of this numbers? If you can't do the job, I'll do it for you.

Double decker bus skids, flips and crash on the NSE?
Sounds exactly like the case at Slim River January last year which killed a friend of mine. There was a petition for safer buses after that accident too, but I'd guess no one was paying attention.
Here's the petition (note: its not the "comment" button) if you're still interested:

Rest in peace.

The speeding coaches and accidents involving coaches are seemed a problem that the corrupted govt is unble to contained.Obviously, these coach cos paid monthly dues to the police stations along the way to speed as if they are in no-man land. What happened to the revelation and investigation a year ago by an asst. director of traffic police of police stations levied monthly protection fees from transport operators ? Again swept under the carpet?
What happened to the investigation into the AP KINGS who sold their APs for more than RM40000 a piece? Every transport co is paying RM5000/vehicle to renew their coach or truck permit YEARLY through an agency in MALACCA for donkey years, the macc must be daydreaming all this time! My nephew didnot even sit for a test, but he gotten his driving licence. This is appalling!!!!

especially in the middle of the night..............Sometimes I thought I was in the midde of race course in Sepang during the F1 racing as multiple coach buses zoom pass my car at some incredible speeds trying to outdo each other to reach the destination first, as though there is a challenge trophy awaiting for them at the end of the journey.
I was worrying about the safety of those insides. These people who choose to use the mode of transport may not able to afford their personnal transport such as car, and as a result subject their lives to the careless attitude of the bus drivers.
Inspite of the many previous bus accidents which involved the lost of many lives, the ministry of transport has not really come up with any effective counter measures to eliminate such tragedy.
Now blame who????? Blame the passengers for being poor since they can not afford their own cars for travelling????? Transport Minister please give us an answer before more lives are lost...
May be you should take bus to and fro from work everyday in order to experience the agony and frustration besides the danger of using public transport.

Mr. Singh, please ban double decker buses

Double decker buses are not stable - especially on wet roads; worse if tyres are bald.
Common sense will tell you that a double decker bus is only safe if confined to operating within city limits but not on the expressways or trunk roads. The high centre of equilibrium makes it difficult to control road-handling especially driving at high speed, or taking sharp corners, or when roads are wet or slippery, or with bald tyres!
Please Mr. Singh, help to save precious lives - ban these buses!

Spot on Robert Teh, the double decker buses are normally used to ply short distance in the city dirve! In Singapore, these buses are used at controlled speed whereas on our highway, they ram the buses at speed exceeding even 140km/hr., typically the flying coffins floating on the road!
Once I took the Konsortium coach from Singapore to Penang Island and it took the driver only six and half hours to reach! Along the way, the driver some more let the bus went on 'auto pilot' when he was busy in talking to his girl friend through the handphone! Imagine, lives are hanging in the hands of these kind of irresponsible people! Where is the so-called authority after they made such a hullabaloo everytime after a serious accident has occurred and precious lives lost cheap?! Shouldn't the Transport Minister focus more on the welfare of the rakyat than his bonking business in playing the backsides of his comrades?! Ong Tee Keat should be responsible for it!

Isn't it high time that CCTV cameras all along the NSE be installed and used intelligently and effectively?
There are really alot of monies in the Transport related ministries

Imagine the amount of monies illgotten by these corrupted umnoputras:
1) The APs----These well connected AP kings got hold of the THOUSANDS of APs every year for free and sell them to the importers of foreign- made cars for more than RM 40000 a piece! This RM40000 obviousy was added on to the cost of imported cars that we bought. The CORRUPTED bn GOVT and UMNOPUTRAS sucks our blood by issueing papers in the name of NEP. Obviously they issued alot more than what mahathir has expected or rather paid for. He must be angry for being cheated ! The largest AP KING is revealed to receive more than 3000 APs a year.3000 x Rm 40000 =RM 120,000,000 a year. What a sucker! There are so many AP KINGS around,my friends!
2) The coach and lorry licences----For Every coach or third- party -goods lorry licence obtained by transport companies RM 5000 changed hands. On top of that they pay RM 5000 per year to renew the licence! These bribes are paid through certain agent in MALACCA. I cannot imagine how many lorries and coaches around in Malaysia but the monies mst be able to build a NORTH-SOUTH highway every year. With this added cost how do you expect these coach operators not to" fly" their coaches and lorries like Air Asia?

Once, I was returning home south to JB. Immediately after Simpang Rengam toll, I was already driving on the fast lane when I saw through my rear mirror the head-lights of a heavy vehicle. I thought it may be one of the cargo lorries but to my amaze it was a double-decker bus (5-Star). So I accelerated to 180 kph but to my surprise the bus was tailgating me and as I increased the speed, he too. As we were both speeding, we overtook similar 5-Star buses along the way. When we reached Kulai, I was worried for the passengers and applied my brakes to slow him down. Only than did the driver decided to slow down. I too feel that something deterrent must be done to control these hell drivers otherwise more lives would be lost again & again.

During rainy season, the disarranged road condition is one of the main cause of accidents which could be prevented only if the works in progress are well managed and delivered! Is JKR to be responsible, or the crony company ?!..............
