IPOH, May 3 - The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) today accused the police and the Perak state secretary of partisanship ahead of the May 7 state assembly sitting, even as the mentri besar slipped into damage control mode in the fallout from an earlier decision to restrict media coverage.
Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim noted that the state secretary had “seemingly taken over the duties” of the speaker, including deciding which media organisations were allowed to enter the assembly.
But even as Anwar was speaking here at a joint press conference together with PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang and the DAP’s Lim Kit Siang, Perak mentri besar Datuk Zambry Abd Kadir announced he had rescinded the restrictions in a posting on his blog.
Zambry claimed to have had no hand in the decision to restrict the number of media organisations covering the state assembly, but he suggested it was made because of space constraints.
“In the name of press freedom I have asked the information department to allow all mainstream media representatives to cover (the assembly). This includes the new media, including our blogger friends,” the Perak MB wrote.
Last week, the Perak Information Department issued a circular listing down which media organisations were allowed to send their reporters and cameramen to cover the state assembly sitting, leaving out a number of newspapers and also the online media.
The decision to restrict the number of media organisations has drawn a major outcry and has damaged Zambry’s attempts to win backing for his government.
The DAP’s Lim, speaking at the press conference here, said: “I think it is clear these people have no respect for the media.”
He accused Zambry of having something to hide and “for turning the assembly into a security prison.”
Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin, who still maintains he is the mentri besar, was also present at today’s press conference, told reporters he had received a request from the police to attend a special briefing tomorrow.
He noted it was the first time the police had ever organised such a briefing.
Nizar said all PR lawmakers would boycott the briefing.

2. The state secretary is overstepping his bound. He is guilty of abusing his power. He should be sacked. And no pension for him.
3. How can the police hold a special briefing on state assembly. This is ridiculous. This is not a matter for the police.
All these show that something is not right in the land of not so silver.

Let those of us, who see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil and think no evil, tell those who are attempting to HIDE THE TRUTHS from us , the voters and the tax payers, that we are not interested in their dirty plots, evil schemings and stupid political mind games.
Enough of denying us our rights and liberties. Enough of garbage. Enough of using public machineries and amenities and the uniformed units ( who are supposed to guard and protect the rakyat from all forms of threats and dangers or nuisance and not to inhibit nor hinder their rightful movements ) unilaterally and wittingly for their own selfish and hidden agendas.
Enough of abusing and plundering of national coffers for self-serving and corrupted purpose and intent.
What we wish for is straight forward and honest handling of public affairs and matters.
Let all right thinking voters stand up and be counted!

This yet to be printed book have taught him many unproven methods of being a dishonest thief because I ‘lost’ the draft copy while it was waiting to be printed at the publisher’s office only the last couple of days. No price for guessing the right answer who the thief was!
Other than teaching how to steal (the professional work of a thief), there is a detailed chapter entitled ‘How to lie to make a living through thieving’. It is an interesting chapter (you have to read it in it’s original text to really understand it, trust me), but that thief just could not understand what this author tries to put it into words and then explaining in simple ‘layman’s language’. Unfortunately, and very luckily, I wrote that all in Chinese and he just couldn’t understand it 100% and couldn’t have it translated into his language of the pirates soon enough. I guess he is just too desperate to put into practice without knowing what the actual meaning of that particular chapter. And from that instance, this thief and pirate have made himself a fool, a joker, a prankster, a lair, and whatever name and or names you have for this guy.
In fact, I was thinking of writing another book entitled ‘The Pirates of Pangkor Bay’ but after having second thoughts, hey! I should team up with Jack Neoh to produce a comedy of the same title and that one day, will be nominated for the ‘Best Comedy Of Malaysia’! and both Jack and me will be instant millionaires and celebrities. The film will be premiered all over the world, especially in all major cities this coming 7th May 2009. So stay tuned.

How long does Perak / Malaysia want to continue to be the laughing stock of the world ?
Is UN going to step into this ?
Best solution should be a re-election and let the Perak residents to have democracy on their hands. This will also stop the immoral frogs jumping and buying of state representatives.

First, they appointed a Gerakan man as adviser from Back Door.
Now they want a non-DUN member and MIC man to be Speaker, also from Back Door.
Worst, the secretary now act like a Speaker. They deserve an Oscar Prize for worst show on earth.
Is this the kind of leadership we can rely on? My foot.

That said, media bans are not good - let them report whatever they like, but in the end we people are wise enough to judge which is real, and which is bullshit!

What a stupid excuse! This Thambi guy really find a good reason for barring other media organisation when the pressure gets hot that he blame space constraints. Why are the Police involved? Don't take care of crimes happening everywhere & intereferring with politics. BN is dead & scared!

That is why, whenever I read about the police asking for cooperation from the public to fight crime and all that, do they realise that it is them that is not cooperating with the public, by being unprofessional, partial and political in their stance. For the IGP, my message to him would be: Just because the govt decided to extend your contract, it does not mean that you must be subservient to the party. Carry yourself with more dignity and think of the country rather than your own career. After all, you will not starve, even if they do not extend your services; you have your pension.

He is still very green or not up to level. Conflict statements given, sometimes seems to against the flow direction of leadership. Whatever he did, reflect very much of his childish ego.
Just wonder how Perak going to be, if he manage things from behind the curtain of palace.
Don't think this will happen because Perakian and the legals are not stupid.
Without any history or proven track records as compared to DSNizar, with only words of assurance, no one will buy it. Conclusion, still not your time yet. Don't sell fish and be giddy. Allow other who are capable to bring Perak to better height.

For Nizar, it's MB = Mentri Besar
For Zambry, it's MB= Monyet Besar.
Many people now think Zambry behaves like some stupid Monkey that just bullsh*ts with the things he says , and the people simply do not trust him. Just look at the blogs messages, they think he is saying one lie after another. He thinks he can fool the Rakyat, but he can't.
So, who but an idiot will believe his so-called "explanation" in limiting the media to those BN-friendly ones which only spreads BN propaganda ?
Did Zambry blame space constraints? Maybe his perceived lack of intelligence is due to "space constraints" in his head , but there's certainly no space constraints in the Perak Assembly !
Is this is Najib's so-called "1Malaysia" in action? ....So, it's 1Malaysia where BN try to curtail media freedom and freedom of information, is it?? He must be so " proud" of his BN cadres in Perak for trying to muffle the media and limiting freedom of press reporting....yet again behaving more like cowards and bullies than as leaders.
Is it any wonder BN is losing votes in droves?

The law abiding citizens are asked to be under the command of the stooges of the Mafia, the outlaws?! It must be mad!
