IPOH, May 13 - A press conference held by Datuk Zambry Abdul Kadir here today has given the impression, perhaps intentionally, that Perak's caretaker mentri besar intends to seal his position as the state's chief executive.
This impression was further reinforced when Zambry announced that various projects initiated under Barisan Nasional's short tenure, including the Ipoh airport development, would continue as planned.
Just yesterday, Perak plunged into yet another impasse following the Court of Appeal's decision to put on hold the Kuala Lumpur High Court ruling declaring Pakatan Rakyat's (PR) Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin as the rightful MB.
But in today's press conference, Zambry signalled his intention to resume his duties despite doubts remaining about the legitimacy of his position.
"It's business as usual for me and the excos," he said. "I had an exco meeting today and we discussed administration issues and other things that needed the approval of the excos," he added.
Zambry said the Ipoh airport project, a project Nizar and his administration had laid claim to, would now be developed by the BN state government.
"Our priority is the extension of the airport runway. I have spoken to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak about this and he told me that this was the priority," said Zambry, who also said that the airport would contribute to economic growth in the state.
Malaysian Airlines subsidiary Firefly and private low cost carrier AirAsia have been in talks with the state government to fly from here, said Zambry.
He also said that the BN state government plans to develop a medical university in the state. The project, he added, had reached its final phase.
He also tried to reassure potential investors when asked about what would happen if the court rejected his appeal against the KL High Court ruling.
"I would like to urge the investors that the court ruling will not affect anything. The investors are welcome here, the government will help them out.
"When it comes to business, Perakians are very serious," he said.

Open letter to Zambry,
The high court has ruled that Nizar is the legitimate MB and you managed to get a stay of execution.
It simply means that you have to appeal for your position in the Court of Appeal.It does not mean that you are the legitimate MB
In other words there is no MB in Perak for the time being.
If you still go about with business as usual attitude, it is going to have repercussions later if you were to loose your appeal. Of course you might not feel the whole effect of the repercussions yourself, it is the people of Perak who will feel it more.

Isn't the High Court has decided the Nizar is the MB right from the start.
Zambry can appeal but until the appeal came through, isn't the valid MB has been decided, which is Nizar.

Didn't they always warn the rakyat that rule of law must be obeyed and that no one is above the law?! How come now he is one who continues to rule as an outlaw for the State? Is this not contempt of court order?!
An order of stay is merely to set aside the execution of the verdict and it's nothing like an order to revoke the high court judgment. Zamri is still an illegitimate MB as long as Nizar has claimed ownership of the post and the courts also allowed! The fake MB is held responsible for trespassing to the State office and any decision he makes in default is tantamount to CBT, a breach of public interests!

Well, let's see...the high court declared nizar as the rightful menteri besar. Then the appeals court granted a stay of execution. So that's a stay for executing what exactly? The high court did not order an action, so what action is being stayed? Asking the appeals court to interpret the law seems like a tall order when they have trouble interpreting basic logic.

Business is definately normal for thiefs and Bandits but not the rest of the Perak peoples.
How could an INVALID?ILLEGALl MB qualify to talk ?
When the High Court ruling Zam biribiri is not a TRUE MB and it means from 207 onward his position as MB is already INVALID or illegal , how come the Appeal Court granted a stay of ruling when High Court rejected outright his stay of execution.

Gosh..there are still ignorant & IDIOT rakyat...RAKYAT (see above negative comments)!! He thinks rakyat are servants...& its the ruler who has the power. Good for him..people of power hungry, racist & still stupid should stick to UMNO.
BTW..the extension of the Airport is the initial plan of the Pakatan admin & is under finalisation stage..NOW BN steal it away. Ironically the former BN administration ceased it altogether.

An illegal MB can still get the salary and allowances. This is a bit fishy and unbelievable. From here and this point of view, we are clearly told that this is a bogus government.
