KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 – Malaysian police are now seeking the help of Interpol to apprehend fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said today in the first official acknowledgement that RPK has fled the country.
RPK, as he is popularly known, went on the lam last month when he failed to turn up for his sedition trial. Today a second warrant of arrest was issued against him for failing to turn up for his criminal defamation trial.
Despite being a fugitive, RPK continues to taunt the authorities and remains a thorn in the side of the administration of Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Both his sedition and criminal defamation trials are related to his allegations that Najib was involved in the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu, the former mistress of the prime minister’s associate.
RPK continues to write regularly on his Malaysia Today website, giving his take on political developments and criticising the police and the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
Since skipping trial, the blogger who remains hugely popular has also been engaging in a war with some of his fellow bloggers. He has been attacking several bloggers whom he had once been friendly with, identifying them as pro-Barisan Nasional bloggers.
According to a recent news report, police here believe RPK is now in Brisbane, Australia, together with his wife.
Besides the latest arrest warrant issued today, Sessions Court judge Mohamad Sekeri Mamat also issued a show-cause notice to RPK’s wife, Marina Lee Abdullah, as his bailor for not being in court as well.
Raja Petra, 59, had on July 17 last year claimed trial to three counts of criminal defamation over his statutory declaration on the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.
He is alleged to have defamed Najib’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor by claiming she was involved in the murder.
RPK has claimed through his website that he would not be attending the trials as he fears being arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

You get caught if you wear black.
You get caught if you lit up candle.
You get caught if you drink teh tarik in restaurant underneath opposition party office.
You get caught if you jog around opposition party office.
You get caught if you print posters.
You get caught if you fly balloon with "Daulat Tuanku"
You get caught for mentioning a Mongolian name.
You get caught if you call for equality.
You get caught if you dont want to eat.
Well well well.... how many handcuff do the servant of BN have? 10? 100?? 1000?? 100,000??
Do the BN dogs have 27,000,000 handcuffs?
I guess it's time to do something. For for us. Not for this generation... but for many more to come.

Under the Interpol constitution it will not entertain the Malaysian UMNO Police in this manhunt as this is a political and personal vendetta by Najib and Co. Raja Petra is NOT a criminal. He is a prey. The predator is a vulture known as Najib.

Perhaps IGP should use the dictionary to find out what UNBIASED means - he obviously doesn't know.

haven't we malaysian suffer enough humiliation from all the corruption, unlawful detaining of citizens and power abuse in this country?
Sigh.... Now police move a step further to humiliate our country and citizens by asking them to hunt the one person who has done nothing but just express his thoughts through his blog.

They do not have barbarous laws like the ISA or the Sedition laws there.

When youwaste your time and resources chasing RPK, using excessive force against opposition parties..etc...how will you have time to serve the rakyat?
How about you investigate the Mongolian's murder, the mysterious disappearance of the Mongolian's immigration records, PI Bala's mysterious disappearance, the Mat Rempit menace, robbers, rapists, etc?
Let me remind you that your salary is being paid for by the rakyat's tax dollars...and you need to serve the rakyat...not BN. Sad to say you are shameless beyond words.
If you need an example of an effective polie force...you have only to look to Singapore...what an efficient and honest police force Singaporeans are blessed with

What if RPK presents himself to Interpol and tells them to subject him to extradition?
Looks like someone in our police force is working against the country itself. Any kind of extradition will involve RPK presenting his case against that extradition. Do they want RPK singing like a canary in a foreign court? What he could not say in the Malayisan courts he would sing and he would be even provided backing music so that he can sing as well as Susan Boyle.
No sireee, I don't think our Attorney General wants to confront RPK in a court that he has little control over. Does he?

Interpol work focuses primarily on public safety, terrorism, organized crime, war crimes, illicit drug production, drug trafficking, weapons smuggling, human trafficking, money laundering, child pornography, white-collar crime, computer crime, intellectual property crime and corruption.
Interpol’s constitution prohibits any intervention or activities of a political, military, religious or racial character.
Quite contrary, should Interpol involves, it blatantly violates its constitution.
Does the Malaysian IGP understand the roles of Interpol? Interpol is no PDRM.

Interpol, as a responsible organisation, do you think it is wise to get involved in the politics of Malaysia. Just like , would you get involved with the regime of Myanmar.

Almost daily you heard of robbery, snatch thiefs, rapes, murders, etc. Just recently when both mother and baby in the womb were killed by snatch thiefs..what have the Police done? Bala who is a key witness to the murder of Altantuya was loss and until today the police appears to be doing nothing.
Instead the IGP and his police is more interested to be involved in politics and carrying their masters instruction from UMNO.
RPK is love by most Malaysians. Why are you treating him like fugitive.

this musa hassan fella had gone to anwar ibrahim. he ask for forgiveness and make peace. see, he nombor 1 police man, he got access to info, special branch reports, telephone taps on everybody including pm, also sms records of everybody including najib's lawyers and rosmah's business friends.musa knows no way bn/umno can avoid disastrous defeat in nest general election. musa hassan suggested to anwar that he can make big trouble for najib and bn gomen by getting interpol involved. you see, countries like australia, new zealand, britain, ireland, they have system. interpol catch rpk, but cannot hand over to malaysian police just like that. tak boleh - must go to court. rpk has rights to contest extradition. so musa hassan said to anwar, in the aussie, kiwi, british or irish courts, rpk can have his day in court. he can make big trouble for najib and rosmah infront of international media not just kucing kurap mainstream malaysian media.
anwar liked the idea. but got musa hassan to promise never to let rpk know about their conversation. i tell you this igp of ours, he no fool. only loyalty only to himself one.
