KOTA BARU, June 3 – The Kelantan palace deems remarks made by Mohd Soberi Shafii, a friend of the Tengku Temenggong Kelantan, on the issue of Manohara Odelia Pinot as his own opinion.
Comptroller of the Kelantan royal household Datuk Abdul Halim Ahmad in a statement here today stressed that the statements made by Mohd Soberi were not an official response by the Kelantan palace or the Kelantan Sultan’s office.
“I have been following reports in the print and electronic media on Tengku Temenggong Kelantan and Cik Puan Manohara Odelia Pinot.
“I have been instructed to inform that any statements made by Mohd Soberi are in his personal capacity as a friend of Tengku Temenggong Kelantan. They are not official statements of the Kelantan royal household or the Kelantan Sultan’s office.
“The Kelantan palace is monitoring this matter and till now deems it to be a personal matter between a husband and wife which needs to be resolved according to the law,” he said.
On Monday, Mohd Soberi was reported to have alleged that Manohara, who has returned to Indonesia, was spreading lies that her husband had abused her, which tarnished the image of the Kelantan palace.
He is also alleged to have asked the former model to furnish proof to back her accusations.
Prior to this, the Kelantan palace declined to issue any statement on the matter as the accusations allegedly made by Manohara were not true. – Bernama
