KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 – Malaysian police used teargas to break up a crowd of around 500 Iranians demonstrating outside the United Nations mission against Iran's contested presidential election.
The demonstrators gathered on Monday after a landslide victory for hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Friday’s election.
“The protesters handed in a memo and were leaving when the police fired two rounds of teargas,” said a Reuters photographer.
Ahmadinejad beat challenger Mirhossein Mousavi in Friday's poll and the opposition has charged the incumbent with rigging the polls which triggered protests in Iran. – Reuters

To all the world's citizens, Malaysian government is very fair. It's police force treats all oppositions equally. Whether you're Malaysian opposition, or Sri Lankan opposition, or Palestinian opposition, or Iranian opposition, you get tear gassed for demonstrating.

Now only you know how inconsiderate and unlawful malaysian police are? The police force in malaysia is and will always be the law. They can rape, kill, steal and lie and they will get away with it. This is the fact!

Welcome to Malaysia. Now you know what Malaysia is really like. Well, you can protest by not studying and spending your hard earned money here stimulating the Malaysian economy. Malaysian police know nothing about peaceful protest. They are dogs.

Why police not arresting the protesters?
Looks like there's a different set of rules here for foreigners protesting in Malaysia.
2nd class citizens if Malaysians are not lackeys or licking dogs of the govt.

I'd like to thank you all malaysian citizens as well for supporting us and to be different than those people who rule your country... pretty much same as us. a part of the beauty of living in malaysia is to understand, it is not just our country; every where in the world, there are great nations who are getting ruled by a corrupted government.
Anyhow.... sooner or later, it's gonna be the time for a big change for everyone. Now it's our turn. when is yours?

Just yesterday the police was told to protect human rights. Yes they do protect the human rights of only the rich, powerful and corrupt in Malaysia. For us peaceful protestors whether local or foreign expect chemical laced water canon, tear gas and baton charges.

A rigged GE13 is probably on the way, judging from C4-N's behavior.
Manipulate the court, MACC, EC, Police, ISA....what else he wont do to cling on to power.

Iran is an Islamic state...
Yet Iran is not free from corruption and manipulation.
Iranians only wanted to give a memo to UN...
That was peaceful enough,
No need for police to show extreme force.
The Iranians should have asked Khairy to help...
Bcos Khairy can arrange street protests and police will cooperate.
He is our Mr Street Protests...all others will get police actions.
Now the world can smell what our government is cooking!!!!

Poor Iranians, they forgot the golden rule about demonstrations in Malaysia. First apply for BN membership. After that there is not even a need to apply for a polis permit. PRDM will do it for you.

Dear Plain Jane,
Do please note the report again. Iranians who wanted to hand over a memo, have done nothing wrong according to Malaysian or every other country's law. Besides, keep it in mind that early morning we received official permission from UN itself that allowed us to have the gathering there, otherwise UN officials wudn't have shown themselves up and hold speeches for more than an hour.... and last but not least, I believe people are free where to choose for their living, of course if we wanted to stay back home, we wud have done it prior to all this.

I thought that most Iranians supported their president, if not all of them. He is extremely outspoken, especially against the West, in particular the United States. I respect him for the fact that he defies the Western pressure to halt Iranian's uranium enrichment. All those claims the West have thrown towards Iran are bull***ts, in my opinion. They just do not want Iran to have a nuclear technology for the sake that it is a Muslim nation.
Iran also seems to have a strong military power. As a Muslim, I like it because Israel needs to feel "threatened" and not feel like they are the "kings" of the world. The Muslim world needs a leader who dares enough to speak out (loudly) against Israel and the U.S. Just like our Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir before this. Very outspoken. Because of this, many countries especially the developing one were totally behind him, although the Westerners did not like it. One of the examples is his heavy criticism towards the West in a U.N. assembly.
I think President Mahmoud is the World's new Dr. M., but with a stronger military force at his disposal.
I had seen news reports about massive Iranian gatherings throwing their undivided support for their president. They numbered in tens/hundreds of thousands. They chanted anti-West slogans, hailing President Mahmoud, etc.
To know the current situation in Iran in the aftermath of the election has been a surprise for me, though. Not only in Iran, but demonstrations by dissatisfied Iranians occur all around the world. But for me, that has happened, just let it be. It was an election, so the candidate who got more votes, wins. It is as simple as that. It is democracy, right? How about those who voted for Mahmoud? Don't they think he deserves to continue his rule?
