KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 – Umno’s “magnificent four” paid RM4,000 in fines tonight to Parliament and also asked for forgiveness from the Dewan Rakyat and the Speaker.
But Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin showed no sign of burying the hatchet with Karpal Singh, choosing instead to call the opposition veteran “a big fat liar.”
The four Selangor Umno Youth leaders were found guilty by a parliamentary special committee for being involved in a fracas with the Bukit Gelugor MP and fined RM1,000 each under Section 9(e) of the Houses of Parliament (Privileges and Powers) Act 1952.
The Youth leaders are Latt Sharizan Abdullah (PJ Utara), Megat Zulkarnain Omar Din (Gombak), Azahari Shaari (Shah Alam) and Ungku Md Salleh Ungku Abd Jamal (Serdang).
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin told reporters that the fine was paid with money donated by the grassroots because they wanted to “show support for the beleaguered leaders”.
“The payment was made from collections from ordinary Umno youth members because they wanted to show a strong fighting team spirit. Even though they (the four Youth leaders) could afford to pay the fines, the grassroots wanted to show their support,” he said.
Khairy Jamaluddin continued to blast Karpal and accused him of being the root cause of the fracas.
“The root cause is Karpal’s lack of respect for Parliament, Umno, Umno Youth and the Malay struggle,” he said.
Karpal called Umno Youth “celaka” and accused them of sending him two bullets in Parliament on February 25. This led to the group of Umno Youth members surrounding Karpal and preventing him from entering the Parliament.
Khairy claimed that Karpal was a habitual liar and challenged him to repeat what was said in Parliament outside if he was telling the truth.
“He is a liar… He is a liar… He is a big fat liar,” he added.

It is an unfamiliar territory to accuse opposition leaders as liars but, with UMNO goons, it is a raw fact.

You must take responsibility for the fracas as a responsible "leader" instead of shifting the blame to others!

Being the pipe-piper that he is, one can only expect a long line of similarly convulsed minds and souls in convoy.
That's what they do best. That what they are capable of. That's what they will go on doing as long as the tune that they sing and play continues.
What more can we say?
No matter what, Karpal is our hero, now and forever.
The lion can certainly and comfortably leave the pipe piper and his convoy alone in their journey to where they belong, celaka land.
Let's get on with our life.

This brash young upstart is desperate to have the attention of Najib, each day doing and saying things very unbecoming of a MP. His ego must be greatly bruised for not being appointed a minister or a deputy minister. He wants to be noticed so that he can get his appointment, he is a desperate man!!!

In law, there is something known as implied malice wherein it could be established that UMNO Youth had the malicious mens rea (intention) to demonise Karpal by its various illegal assemblies and press conferences.
UMNO Youth were clearly agent provacatuers whose actions led someone to send the bullets to Karpal and this in law is classified as abetment. Using the reasonable man test, any oridnary Malaysian would have come to the conclusion that the bullets were sent because the sender was agitated and by whom? UMNO Youth obviously.
If PDRM had investigated this case, they should have charged UMNO Youth Bukit Bintang for the crime of abetment.
Why were the rioters let of scot free? Weren't they not a nuisance to the public at large especially at the busy Pudu area where Karpal's office is located? Don't we have a precedent in this country where illegal assembly participants were charged with murder even?
With regard to the Parliament fracas, PDRM's lame excuse that it could not intervene in Parliament is nothing short of cowdung. They could enter the Perak Assembly and cart away the Speaker and his Chair for god's sake!
And Rembau, you and other BN MPs when faced with challenges scandalous to BN are only fit for asking opposition MPs to repeat what they said outside.
Parliament is where important issues are debated and, the issue of the threat to the life of a MP, after UMNO Youth went on its campaign calling for him to be tried for sedition, should be debated in the house. If you have no bloody answer for your movement's thuggery, think harder for some excuse other than the same old crap of 'repeat this outside'.

Sometimes to get the message across to someone as obtuse as Karpal, one needs to use blunt language. Hence KJ's "liar" for King Singh. Savvy? Don't be a cheeky loser.

I think that the issue is whether our representatives, policy and law makers should be allowed to behave in a disorderly manner in a situation when they feel they are unfairly treated. How should those four Umno Youth leaders have behaved even if Kapar lied and accused them of doing something that they did not? What kind of behaviour should they have modeled to the UMNO 'youths' who look up to them? Obviously they did not behave in an acceptable manner, which could have brought justice as far as Karpal is concerned and be a source of example for UMNO and that's why they were fined. I do not understand why the grassroots would give money and encourage that kind of behaviour, especially since two wrongs does not make a right.
In our country, we ordinary citizens find it hard to know who is the habitual liar and so if KJ's remark on Karpal means that KJ revers truth and would point out anyone who lies, we would really appreciate that. However KJ would have to be fair and do that to all regardless of their status.

The 4 fellas can pay the fine.
But grassroots paid for them to show support.
Aiyahh, only RM 4000.
Nothing to show support lah.
So little.
Want to show support...
Give more to charity.
There are many poor people around.
Khairy is not a good Malay.
Don't respect people older than him.
Call people liar is not good...
Bcos people will call you cheater...you cheated in the Umno Youth election.
Convicted of money politics, but escape punishment bcos of father in law.
If you do it again, your father in law cannot defend you.
Don't respect judgment made by parliamentary special committee...
By accusing Karpal of lying, you are pointing your finger at the special committee -
Why, you are challenging the verdict of the committee.
Learn to respect older people and authorities,
Otherwise Umno Youth leaders and members will behave like you.
And that is no good for Umno,
and show bad example what is a good Malay culture.
Khairy, please behave.
You are still young, only 33.
Learn from your father and mother - don't disgrace the good name of your family.

He could not 'swallowed' the gulity verdict and the fines imposed on his ruffian-styled koncos in the barbarian act in the Parliament, and shouted "liar" to others except himself.
Malaysians just wandered how could this type of quality in a person could one day be a leader of a multiracial country where we live, work and die.
Malaysian felt sorry for his outburst and substandard quality of a leader.

I'm sorry KJ...it's not about "they wanted to show a strong fighting spirit" but "ketua bahagian" had given directive and were force to collect each of ordinary youth members each for 10cent...pliz dun deny it...

Respect should be earn and not demand. And all are free to give his own opinion. Free speech should be totally free without restriction, as he who lies or abuse with his mouth shall only humiliate himself and an outcast. And they who believed in lies are fools. Always check out the facts first before believing. Therefore the Seditious Act and OSA and ISA and what not are actually wicked acts of those in power.
And again is all about the pride of the untouchable Malay superiority. Sensitive and childish and corrupted.

As far as I know, Mr Karpal is a man of principles. It is interesting to hear the accusation of Khairy, the leader of four uncivilised UMNO Youths. that Karpal is a liar.
I would like to remind Khairy that when he points a finger at Karpal, four more fingers are pointing at himself.

UMNO Youth leaders respond by physically intimidating an old, wheelchair-bound MP to prevent him for entering our Malaysian Parlaiment.
The UMNO Youth leaders are found guilty by Parliament and fined.
The fines are paid for by money collected from UMNO Youth grassroots, concretely demonstrating their support for illegal, gangster behaviour.
And Khairy wants all Malaysians to know that UMNO Youth supports illegal, gangster behaviour.
Thanks Khairy, for showing once again what UMNO Youth stands for. Great strategy, KJ.

PLease do not be rude, if you have got what it takes, pick someone your size and age.
You are well Educated BUT you have got no Class, you cannot tell Right from Wrong to start with
and you lower yourself to the level of of a street fighter, how do gain respect from your UMNO Youth
members, respect has to be earned. You have no Leardership and thats why you aren't given any
Ministerial Post don't you get it ? You were put there to lead the Youth ( Thugs ) and thats what you
are noted for and thats why Tun Dr Mahathir once asked " Who is Khairy Jamaluddin, he does not
hold any Official Post in the Government " ?? It takes one to recognise another.
