KUALA TERENGGANU, July 3 – A 44-year-old traffic policeman is in a coma after he was hit by a car at Km 79.6 Jalan Kuantan - Kuala Terengganu in Dungun today.
Dungun OCPD Supt Dahlan Mohd Noor said Corp Azli Husin, who was carrying out an operation against illegal racing, was hit by a Proton Wira car when he tried to stop the vehicle in the 2.15pm incident.
“He sustained multiple injuries on his chest, shoulder and head,” he said when contacted.
He said the 27-year-old driver of the car sent him to the Dungun Hospital.
Azli was later transferred to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital. – Bernama
