Wonder why Najib appointed him as education minister. He thinks knowledge comes in the form of diploma. The bigger the diploma the wider the knowledge. A fish monger may be more knowledgeable than the government officer. A government officer who has secured salary does not know the meaning of survival because the food for his table is there to eat. But a fish monger live on a daily basis because he faces more insecurities and does not know whether there is going to be food on his table.
A fish monger knows how to respect his customers and treat them as his bosses. Whereas a government servant most often know how to show authority to the public as if the public owe their living to him. Of course there good and dedicated public servants but most often we seldom find them in Malaysia. So do not simply belittle a small town businessman because his heart may be closer to the needs of his constituents.

this kind of campaign tactics shall only drift me away further from UMNO.

P. Ramlee, SM Salim, Saloma, Sharifah Aini tuu semuanya tidak memiliki diploma lepasan ijazah sarjana muda tapi ke tahap mana mereka berada? Bandingkan dengan Muhyuddin Yassin sendiri yang berkelulusan sarjana muda dari UM? Setakat mana mantap pemikiran beliau? Kalau dia kalah dan dah tak jadi menteri, apa agaknya yang beliau akan jadi kalau tidak terus bergantung kepada kerajaan!!!

The bottom line is this: an awful lot of our present day leaders and politicians have nothing to show for their personal and professional credibility. They mostly rose through the ranks of skewed and manipulated election system and emerged as leaders. Perhaps, we should emulate Singapore in demanding that at least ministers have to have professional qualifications to hold office. The statements that came out of our ministers are often embarrassing and half-baked for they are living in their own tempurung. I will not be surprised if our ministers and leaders can't even list their current books/kitab reading list. Most have the audacity to claim that they have arrived and there is no need for them to learn for they know it all - hence we have what we do today: a government devoid of creativity and not able to listen but still claiming they are right in every single issues in spite of their own flip flops!!

Diploma on the wall means nothing. But how we live our lives by utilizing our own strengths and God given talents and blessings and how we manage to cope with and emerge from the hardships and struggles of class and poverty is something we can be proud of regardless of government policies, race or religion and all those man made boundaries and limitations.

For me as one who was born di Manik Urai lama, I rather vote for tok peraih ikan yang tidak memiliki sebarang diploma tetapi tegap perdiriannya dan kata-katanya boleh di pegang. Sebaliknya ada calun yang akan berkata ya atau tidak mengikut kehendak kuasa dari ibu pejabat UMNO tanpa mengira keadaan setempat dan akar umbinya tidak di ambil perduli.

If we want to move Malaysia forward, get rid of leaders with pea brain.

Kalo gitu nak kerja gomen atau swasta tak perlu pergi temuduga, hantar ajer diploma/ijazah ker apa, fotostat saiz besar 4 kaki X 8 kaki bagi dia orang tengok,lagi besar lagi elok, gerenti dapat punyaaa. Ya pak menteri???
