SHAH ALAM, July 17 — A Kajang municipal councillor who was also interrogated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) alleged commission investigators hurled racist remarks at him during questioning at the state MACC headquarters here.
"They called me a stupid Chinese... Are you from China? You can't speak Malay?” said Tan Boon Wah.
Tan was called in by the MACC as part of the investigation into the alleged misuse of public funds by state executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah.
Tan, who is also a businessman, had last year supplied flags worth RM2,400 for Ean Yong's constituency of Seri Kembangan.
“They asked whether I supplied flags. I said yes but then I was forced to admit that I did not supply the flags,” said Tan.
He added that he could not furnish the MACC with details of the transaction during the investigation because he needed time to look for the documents.
Tan, who went to the MACC office on Wednesday evening, also claimed that he was subjected to torture and was threatened that he would be beaten if he refused to admit to allegations made by the investigators.
“I was shouted at: 'This is my place, you better believe that I can hit you',” said Tan.
“I was then asked to stand and look straight. I was not allowed to rest my head. I was made to stand for four hours,” he added.
Tan said the MACC officials also threatened to arrest his wife and detain his children .
He denied that detainees were provided with beds to sleep on after interrogation.
He said that while under detention, he met Teoh Beng Hock early yesterday morning at the MACC office pantry and he looked tired.
Tan added that he was also told by an MACC investigator not to talk about the interrogation, before he was released yesterday afternoon.
“The MACC officer said don't bring the matter outside, but one life has ended, so now I have to,” said Tan.

The Rakyat will make sure some one in MACC will pay for this together with BN. WHY is MCA, Gerakan, PPP and MIC so quiet on this?????

The tactics and torture of our govt use on detainees.
My fear is proven.
Thank you Tan Boon Wah for speaking up.
I have said before,
how US soldiers ill treated detainees in Gitmo Bay, Cuba and Abu Ghraib in Iraq -
our Malaysian authorities have mastered the art of torture.
I hope others will speak up -
those in police stations -
those in ISA Kamunting Detention Center -
and those in MACC building -
Please speak up before another soul be taken from us and from loved ones.
This is not about politics or race.
I expect everyone who has conscience to speak up.
I want MCA and Gerakan to speak up.
I want MIC and SUPP to speak up.
Both BN and PR leaders to speak up.
If MACC does not belong to UMNO,
If MACC is not a political party -
Then all political parties must speak up against the atrocities in MACC and in police stations and in ISA Detention Center -
It is time for the truth to come out...
MACC must be investigated and must be prosecuted.
Perhaps it is true MACC officials did not meant to kill him -
But in the interrogation and torture - something went wrong and he died -
Don't just think you fell, or jumped, pushed -
he may have died inside the building, in a room - and placed on the 5th floor like he fell from 14th floor.
What proof he fell from 14th floor - it could be 15th floor or whatever...
There must be evidence - CSI must cordon the whole floor and area to comb for evidence...
The first thing any one sees the picture is this: Foul play.
So far no police man or MACC officials can explain the big tear in Teoh's trousers...this is what dead man don't tell tales.

Why? Because UMNO is still in power.
In order for a better tomorrow or for a better future for our next generation where I am not so bordered about myself, we must send UMNO out of Malaysia politics.
They are corrupted, sinful, single handed law, RACIST to core and live in huge palace.............................
Nazri, what the hell you were speaking yesterday? Don't jump into the conclusion or you are trying to cover like Kugan case?
We do not need such useless government which is not caring at all for the nation, only care for their own pocket money.
Vote for PR for a better tomorrow !!!

Don't think so because they all come from the same mould (acuan); same non-integrity, same unprofessionalism, same crookedness.
Please, you people-in-blue, remember that there is a very important thing called "karma" when you cause a life to be lost prematurely. This "pay-back-time" will come acalling to you soon enough.

These threats must never be allowed to be overlooked and those who so threatens must be brought to justice! Whether empty threats or not, or whether made in jest, anyone who so threatens must bear the brunt of the full force of the law!
Innocent parties are being threatened and families of those unfortunate victims are being mercilessly abused in order to force the victim to succumb to agree to false allegations as designed by the interrogators!
We must never allow these "gangsters" escape justice. They have had it for too long.
Jail them and throw the keys away!

From what I have been reading so far esp. the last 24 hours, MACC looks more like Mugabe's Crusaders. Suddenly the Ah Longs look like pussycats by comparison.
Najib, what have you to say now??????
Anything less than a totally professional team of foreign investigators to unearth Teoh's death is unacceptable. Scotland Yard may be a good start. Sorry, we have enough of local investigators and even a Royal Commision may yet be another wasteful episode like the RC on pdrm.

Richie... while what you have said carries some weight in that many things have to be proven before anything may be believed... I tend to disagree somewhat... some times ya just believe.
If you asked me to choose which one made more sense...
a) The guy committing suicide, or fell off by himself at MACC's place a day before his wedding; or
b) MACC being stupid enough - quote- MACC and I want to kill someone, I don't think I'm that stupid to kill him in my own office where I was last seen together with the him .. I might just take him to a nearby park or some place secluded and just put a bullet into his head la .. Easier and no publicity .. If there is also people would think that it's Ah Long's job or something like that ..- unquote
I'd choose that MACC would be stupid enough. Stupid enough seems the way MACC works... and stupid enough seems quite about right. Stupid ..real stupid...
Then again this doesnt have to be like you said, MACC planning to kill him... planning is one thing... eventually doing it... without the planning is a huge possibility, dont you think so?
If I have offended anyone, do accept my apologies.

I believe you have intentionally misinterpreted the statement translated from Malay into English. It is the context in which it is said that determines if it is racist or malicious.
If I were to ask you "Zali are you from Java? Is it hot there?" I'm sure we would not have this debate.
It is clear the intent is malicious, if for instance I were to say, "Awak dari Cina ke? Kenapa tak cakap Malayu? Cina bodoh..... Lu tak percaya aku pukul awak ke? Ni tempat saya...memang saya boleh. Anak, Isteri pun aku boleh tahan...".
Zali, I do not fault you for not understanding if you have not been subjected to this kind of treatment, it is obvious you have not experienced it or been on the receiving end of this nightmare and humiliation.
Just as MACC and the PDRM usually investigate the smoke to look for the fire. There is definitely smoke billowing out from the MACC office for all to see......Insyallah, there will be no cover up or eye-wash in this matter. They certainly must not be allowed to investigate themselves as that would be in conflict of interest.

MACC is not there to procecute the corrupt.
MACC is there to PERSECUTE whoever Najib sees standing in his way.
MACC is answerable to no one but Najib.
The tail of the tyrannic wolf is showing.
In case you don't know, an NTV7 hostress was warned, threatened and demoted because a guest speaker of hers spoke slightly negatively about Najib.
This is the 65ly; approbated Najib.
Now we doubt even the 65% was accountable at all.

If the police has killed the victim under their custody, they will push the body down the building to make the death appear as a suicide. This is a clever cover-up for the police. A very neat solution they have come up with since they know the best cover up to deflect blame away. Then, they can answer "I don't know" to all the questions raised by the public and the victim's family.
If during a car chase, the police has shot one victim, the remaining victims will also be shot. Otherwise, the remaining victims can act as witness. This way, the case can be closed out neatly....no messy trails and remnants.
I am a foreigner. Reading about Teoh's death make me sad.
I hope the police and interrogators will get to have a taste of their own medicine real soon. Then they can feel how Teoh's family feel. I hope the loved ones of the police and interrogators will suffer "mysterious" death or better still, suffer from terminal illness.

a) http://empayar-malaya.blogspot...-teoh.html
How about RPK's theory:
b) http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/24426/84/
So, all of them believe that Teoh was murdered, not suicide. But murdered by whom?
a) By some outside gangsters break into MACC Selangor HQ, make the kill, and sneaked out without notice , or b) just by some “gangsters” within MACC?
a) Teoh has willingly exposed all the underworld connection of Selangor’s Exco, but still have to be interrogated for 11 hours, or b) continued to be interrogated and threaten him to frame up those Exco, but he resisted and have to continue to be tortured for 11 hours over the mid-night till 3:45am, and even after 6am?
a) If Teoh has exposed all the wrong doing of those Exco, MACC can immediately expose all these and clear their name, or b) just nothing the MACC can say about the content of the interrogation, because Teoh has not tell anything?
a) After released at 3:45am and still mingle around MACC HQ, and do not make any contact with his loves’ one and unable to be contacted, or b) just continue to be interrogated and unable to make any contact with outside?
a)....., or b).....
So, which is more possible, and more believable? Theory (a) or (b)?
Anyhow, I believe in you, Malaysian, are not stupid.

Secondly it is your people who have allowed these incidents to happen by being ignorant about the law and constitution of Malaysia before and after independence. I say this because your elected party officials who is supposedly to look after the interests of their constitutents were asleep when they amended the constitution of Malaysia for more than 140 times over. USA which is the oldest independent country have only 46 amendments to their constitution. Malaysia, after independence from 1957 have more than 140 go figure. So if I were you, I will first of all get all these so called opposition dormo removed from their high tower. All these is because you allowed these to happened in somemway or form.
Yes, it is good and healthy to rage and shout here but in reality, are you all really so bold as to come as a group and oppose the rulingparty ? When push comes to shove, I don;t think so. Here lies the dogma of the Malaysian Life. This few lines is penned with the exact intension to arouse your inner self as non bumis in Malaysia. Are you all ready for this ? I dont think so. Until all of you hav ethe balls to admit it and the courage to follow through, Malaysia will always be a third world nation whose politics will always be along racial lines. So stop huffing and puffing until you are ready to walk the walk and talk the talk.

Hence - this is politically motivated by the ruling government to continue to use government agencies and forces to support the ruling government interest. Thanks PM Najib and your team, this one of the best gift that you have for us as rakyat after the 100 days.
I am not a strong supporter of PR but looking at how all this event unfold, I had no choice but to support the opposition. The reason is simple the abuse can continue to happen to any rakyat regardless of race or religion, as long as you are not supporting the ruling government - you are consider as criminal to the Malaysian ruling government.

Look like the MACC did not pick up any good practice from the HK’s ICAC that we all learn from those HK’s serial drama like:-
a)The standard procedures of interrogation.
b)The setting of the interrogation room, the triangular shape table and CCTV, etc.
c)The provision for the presence of a lwayer.
d)The art of “drinking coffee”, etc, etc.
The death of Teoh had not only tarnished the good name (if there is any) of the MACC and our country, it had also tarnished the good name of the HK’s ICAC. And for god’s sake, since we are competing to attract those huge investment funds from the Greater China Region, I think what MACC requires is more than just a re-branding exercise. Get real and get cracking to catch real BIG fish, i.e. the black hands behind the death of Teoh. He must NOT die in vein.
