KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday conveyed his condolences to Teoh Beng Hock’s family and fiancée,Soh Cher Wei, 28.
“I am deeply saddened when told of the incident. My sympathy goes out to Teoh’s family and his fiancee,” he told Bernama when contacted from Medina yesterday.
The Prime Minister said police would investigate the matter thoroughly and professionally so that all quarters would be able to know what actually happened.
Najib also called on all quarters not to make statements or speculations which could confuse the public.
“The government hopes that the people will remain calm and patient. Let’s leave it to the authorities to investigate,” he said.
Yesterday, Teoh, 30, the political aide of Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah, was found dead on the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam after giving his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
His body was found nine floors down from the MACC office on the 14th floor of the building at 1.30pm.
Teoh was assisting MACC’s investigations pertaining to alleged misappropriation of allocations involving several Selangor assemblymen. — Bernama

Najib conveys condolences to Teoh's fiancee and family.
Thank you for assuring the public that the police will investigate the matter thoroughly and professionally. And you are right - everyone wants to know the truth that happened inside the MACC building on the 14th floor.
It is a wise saying to tell the public to remain calm and patient.
Datuk Seri, as you are in Medina right now -
The police has not helped matter so far -
CPO of Selangor on the same day - the same night classified Teoh's death as 'sudden death.'
That was stupid - and to compound his stupidity and the police dept - he told the public there were no unusual circumstances to indicate foul play.
This kind of statement will enrage the public.
Don't you think, Datuk Seri - it only confirmed in the eyes of the public that the authorities are covering up.
The public are also concerned if the police can investigate this matter professionally -
Teoh was taken into MACC building,
MACC officials interrogated him from 5 pm to 3.45 am - into the wee hours of the night -
Teoh was taken out from MACC building in a black bag - he died in the custody of MACC.
Police investigate MACC - Police and MACC - belong to the same team - under the same ministry - Home Ministry - under the same boss - Hishammuddin -
Tell us - can the public have such high confidence???
Perhaps this is the best we have...
Perhaps PM, you should seriously consider setting up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) -
RCI is been proposed by some leaders - and one of them is Khairy Jamaluddin.
The public are asking the standard of procedures -
MACC officials interrogated Teoh from 5 pm to 3.45 am -
Without food and without rest - the mental torture and anguish -
the words they used - some would be very racist - words that can be charged under sedition act.
Did the interrogation and tactics went too far -
Was it like a mini Abu Ghraib or Gitmo Bay in Cuba which you condemned???
The first question we will want to ask you, sir -
Can govt officials interrogate a witness (Teoh was classified as an important witness, and not a suspect) from 5 pm to 3.45 am???
That first question, you and Hisham must answer -
The investigation must be comprehensive - not just the cause of death -
did he jump or fell or pushed or placed after he died in the "killing" room???
The investigation should include the standard of proceduces - was it adhered to???
If the answer to the first question is NO, the MACC officials did not adhere to policy -
that it was wrong to interrogate a person (witness or suspect) from 5 pm to 3.45 am -
then the public can conclude that these officials are not human but animals.
As govt officials their first duty is to protect citizens and preserve human lives.
To give confidence to the public,
while the police investigate - thoroughly and professionally -
please set up Royal Commission of Inquiry.
The CPO has already said - 'sudden death'
How to investigate professionally with this kind of mind-set???
Meanwhile, please investigate bigger cases such as the 24M mansion of Khir Toyo and his disneyland tour costing millions of tax-payers money, and money politics in Umno.

As for the impartiality of the authorities in conducting a unbiased investigation we are all very doubtful of it bcos in the first place the exercise of MACC investigating the PR politicians is seen as an act of hounding and victimising them by the rakyat. These young politicians dont drive luxurious cars or live in palatial bungalows or live beyond their means. There are Umnoputras/BNputras who live well beyond their means many many times over, flaunting their wealth for all to see and yet MACC wont or cant lift a finger to do an investigation on them despite public exposure of their financial status or found quilty of money politics by their own party.
All the reforms on the judiciary, police and fight against corruption are seen as an eyewash /whitewash and nothing real and concrete as time goes by. Worst still the judiciary, police and MACC are seen to be the 3 extra "component parties" of the Umno led govt. So far this has not proven otherwise in the eyes of the raykat.

Is he a convicted criminal with criminal records???
Are we ruled by Nazis???
Teoh's untimely death is totally unacceptable!!!
All Malaysians must unite and hold the UMNO/BN government for the current state of affairs. They must be held accountable for the death!!!

Mr.PM, in most country we can believe when the PM says it will be investigated or the police say they will do their job. Here MACC investigates police and police investigate the MACC and outcome is all is ok. But we know they are not impartial and have double standards. so bascially the outcome is predictable and we do not trust the police or MACC. That is reality. you are leading a country where key institutions are not viewed positively by the rakyat and it is all fault of UMNO/Bn who have used them as tools to hide UMNO/BN faults and pursue your oppositions.

Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon personally went to Alor Gajah to convey his condolences.
But MCA has done nothing -
Ong Tee Keat has not conveyed his condolences to Teoh's family.
What happened lah???
In politics, MCA says the party represents in Chinese interests.
OTK is Chinese leader.
Teoh Beng Huat - a Chinese died in MACC's custody -
Not one word from MCA.
This silence is rude and "MCA does not how to do" in Chinese -
means MCA is irrelevant.
This is not about politics - MCA vs DAP.
This is about a cruel death - in govt building.
This is about public uproar - surely MCA can cross the political ailse and do the most humane thing -
send your condolences.

So instead of offering your cynical condolences, why don't you start a full impartial royal commission into his death at the hands of the MACC whose conduct is only answerable to you as the head of PMO.
I bet your goons at PDRM was ready to classify it as suicide no foul play, but I bet your incompetent goons now cannot answer as to why an expecting father would want to commit suicide on the eve of his wedding registration, simply because your stupid goons had not an iota that his wife was two months pregnant. Coupled with the fact that on Wednesday morning he was calling friends to confirm their attendance at his October 3rd wedding dinner only to commit suicide the next morning, highly unbelievable don't you think? But I know you don't think because you are incapable of thinking.
I also bet that your goons at PDRM wanted to quickly classify this case as sudden death then accidental death then case close NFA. But your stupid goons must have taken a look at the windows of Plaza Masalam by now and realized belatedly that falling out from the high rise building window (why don't you get off your spineless backbone and go and visit Plaza Masalam for yourself, isn't this part of your job 1Malaysia walkabouts?) accidentally is highly impossible also, unless of course he was drugged by the MACC.
So that leaves another option as to what happened to Teoh Beng Hock. Murder. But already your press, your ministers, your goons at PDRM, your UMNO bloggers and cyber warriors are already dismissing that possibility out of hand.
Of course there are some of your UMNO bloggers who are now spreading rumors that DAP triads not only managed to infiltrate the MACC office but managed to kill Teoh and exited the building without any trace. Now does that sound believable to you? Why don't you warn your UMNO bloggers and supporters also for speculating, rumor mongering and (the IGP's favourite motto) "threatening public order"?
So that leaves only one responsible party for his murder. MACC. MACC under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister's Office. The Prime Minister's Office of Najib Tun Razak. Najib Tun Razak the Head of Selangor UMNO. The head of Selangor UMNO who gave the green light to MACC to begin a witch hunt in Selangor to topple Pakatan Selangor. The same green light given by the ex-head of Perak UMNO. All roads lead to you Najib Tun Razak. You are indirectly responsible and you will be held to justice, if not now then in the afterlife.

How many Malaysian will really convinced of the thoroughly invetigation report by our profesional and transperent police. Let ask all Malaysian what is in their mind when put police and MACC together.

Remember when HINDRAF leaders were arrested under ISA? The BN bloggers and cyber warriors were spreading rumors that the police found a cache of heavy automatic weapons at Batu Caves, that HINDRAF was allied to the Tamil Tigers. In the end, no such proof of such hearsay were ever produced but in the pseudo fantasy reality of BN fanboys that is the God’s truth.
Remember when news first broke of Anwar’s sodomy of Saiful and how many evidence cropped up showing Saiful to be an agent of BN and flimsy evidence of sodomy dismissed by Hospital Pusrawi? The same BN fanboys started spreading rumors that BN has video recordings of Anwar sodomizing Saiful and that their case is watertight. Where is the so-called video now?
And now to Teoh Beng Hock’s death at the hands of MACC. You know their fantasy story already, so I’ll just leave it at that.
It seems to be a psychological imperative of the BN fanboys to sanitize their own reality by spicing it up with fiction, fiction that is intended to bolster their worldview i.e. HINDRAF deserved to be ISA-ed because they are terrorists, Anwar is guilty of sodomy because they have video recordings of the act, MACC is innocent because really Teoh Beng Hock was killed by DAP triads.
Hey, if it helps you guys and gals to cope with reality then I support you 100%. Wouldn’t want the real world to depress you now would I?

Despite the mysterious circumstances of Teo's death, the police hv already stated "they do not suspect foul play.' The only way for the public to 'believe' in the investigations and conclusions is for a totally neutral investigative & forensic team from out of this country to conduct the investigations.
Looking at the pic of Teo's body, there is a tear in the seat of Teo's pants. How did that happen? From falling out of a window?

This is one leader with so much vision, leadership and charisma. He has so much more to experience ahead of him, for eg.. he has yet to be interogated by the future independent MACC, by the police, as a witness in court etc.
All these enriching leadership experience will be his to savour when he is elected as our dear 1opposition leader in the next GE

Don't waste time, set up a Royal Commission of Enquiry.
And it is funny that ministers have to comments that they have instructed police to conduct a thorough and open investigation into this case. Should police be doing so for each and every case?

Its a sad day for Malaysia and all Malaysians; be they of any race or religion.
Our PM conveys his condolence and so do most of us Malaysians. Some do it because they really feel the sadness. Some do it because they have to. Some do not even do it. Some, instead of feeling sad and sorry, try to be smart and give out all sorts of threats to the public with the hope that they can keep us quiet. Do you think you can? Do you think we are so stupid not to know what is going on in our country and government bodies?
Why are some of our country's 'icons' so silent on this matter? What has our previous surviving PMs got to say about this? What about some of the senior (ex and present) Ministers eg. Musa Hitam, Tunku Razaleigh, Lim Keng Yaik, Lee Lam Thye etc got to say about this? Why the silence? Do you all condone what has happened? The long hours of questioning, the choice of who they choose to investigate? The seeming impartiality?
It not difficult to say one is sorry and sends his condolence. Its how you feel deep within that matters!

I have not an iota of faith in the police nor the AG's office, nor the judiciary. Another enquiry? Whatever for? It will be a foregone conclusion that investigations will show that there was no foul play and another NFA file in the months to come. Where are Kugan's murderers? Have they been brought to justice? This issue will be faded away from our memories and TBH will be another victim of BN's manipulation of the institutions in this country.
But let us NOT FORGET.
