SHAH ALAM, Sept 3 — Selangor Pakatan Rakyat leader Xavier Jayakumar demanded Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein to be sacked or step down from the Cabinet after the home minister appeared to favour those linked to last week’s cow-head protest.
Jeyakumar chided the Umno vice-president for interfering in police investigations by talking to those suspected of carrying out the bigoted Hindu temple protest, as cows are sacred in Hinduism.
“We ask for him to step down or be sacked as minister of internal affairs as he has broken the trust placed in him by Malaysians,” the Selangor state executive councillor said in a statement.
He noted that Hishammuddin had met with “a group who has no respect for other Malaysians and worse still, defends them, forgetting that he is the Minster of Internal Affairs of all Malaysians”.
“Can we now accept that anyone who is disrespectful of other Malaysians and is still under investigation, will be heard by the Minister himself,” the PKR man asked.
Other Pakatan Rakyat leaders have accused Umno of being behind the protest by Section 23 residents who are against the relocation of the 150-year-old Sri Mahamariamman temple from Section 19. The residents claim their area is a Malay-Muslim majority neighbourhood although the state says there is a significant presence of Hindus there.
In a sarcastic aside to the home minister, Jeyakumar said, “Hey — all you thieves, murderers, rapists, corrupt officials and whoever else can now turn to Hishammuddin before the Attorney-General decides what to do.”
He added that Hishammuddin had in the past “waved his keris inciting bloodshed, supported the arrest of lawyers who went to defend those detained by the police, arrested 580 people (this is a record) for standing up for their rights to protest against the ISA and now defends a group who is prepared to bring about racial unrest and bloodshed”.
“This shows that he has utter disrespect for the rule of law and uses his position and power for his own political gain,” he added.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said yesterday it was up to the Attorney-General and police to decide prosecution, brushing aside his cousin’s views of a possible solution that could prevent legal action.
An outraged Najib ordered police to take action after the residents carried the severed cow-head to the Selangor state secretariat last Friday to register their protest as riot police stood by.
Noting Hishamuddin’s support for the Section 23 residents which he said flies in the face of Najib’s 1 Malaysia concept, Jeyakumar asked “Do minorities have a right to pray, build a place of worship and live peacefully with other Malaysians, or does Umno and the Barisan [Nasional] prescribe that we build our places of worship in the heart of a jungle, where we will be out of sight and this is safe for Barisan?
“We teach our children [the] Rukun Negara, moral studies in school, but how do we explain to a child that toleration is important when such hatred and irresponsible behaviour is supported by national leaders?”
While the Selangor government will hold a town hall meeting with Section 23 residents this Saturday, Jeyakumar asked for tolerance, goodwill and a spirit of give-and-take among the neighbours there to solve the issue soon.

Curse them and I seriously wonder if they really practice what they pray in the mosque.

Yet Najib wants us to tear down walls in our society? 1Malaysia?

•Hishammuddin the Home Minister in charge of internal security defending the S23 thugs;
•Zainuddin the ex Information Minister proclaiming Malaysia has third world mentality with first world democracy;
•Muhyiddin the UMNO No. 2 and DPM equating the penalties imposed by the Bar Council to parking fines.
•A disbarred Rohaizat nominated by UMNO to run in a by election; and
•The PM is promoting 1Malaysia while his cronies joget to a different tune.
There are many more examples and it is rude of me to cause more embarrassments. Malaysia my beloved country is in trouble because we have idiots running her for the last 52 years. To prove my point both Brunei and Singapore are doing so well by not being in Malaysia. Why? Because they have visionary leaders and we have idiots. This is a wake up call for all Malaysians who truly love Malaysia to vote wisely in the next GE; that is NOT to vote UMNO.

Hisham's independent thinking needs to be applauded, he made his stand clear and unambiguous.
With that it is for the opposition to criticise and condemn as their think fit. It is not for the opposition, but members of the ruling colleague, to ask for him to step down. The citizens can decide to vote out the ruling party if they disagree with Hisahm afterall it is the ruling party that appoints Hisham.

Malaysians must remember this episode of our national life and ensure that we do not elect a rogue part like UMNO and for other BN component parties to be muted, it tells us that the BN coalition is a bunch or rogue.

He might have been ridiculously tragically funny if it ain't so serious.....imagine the Home Minister sweating it out for his bread and butter so he has to act and display solidality with bigots lest they send him off to stand in a corner for not displaying enough bigotry.
The good thing is that he has made us all the more aware that we , the Rakyat need to file this incident in our "to take action file" for future electoral referendum and then invoke our mighty right to reject all Jokers of pathetic porportion.
Najib has his hands FULL with such Jokers on board.
Our toes are curling with laughter at all the antics displayed with alarming aclarity by his cabinet, his own kin, in destroying his vision of 1Malaysia. It's like they are rushing to hang themselves with their own rope without help.
What a Joke!!!! Ta da

Previously, the reporter that reported the 'Pendatang issue' was detained, but the person who created the 'Pendatang issue' were protected from any responsibility.
Now, the people that created social unrest in the country with the 'Cow Head issue' are also protected from being detain.
Our Home minister is slapping his own mouth with his own hand for defending ISA. 'You already lost the trust & respect from the people.'

BUT, I have to say that our fellow Malaysians are so matured these days to see beyond their tricks. We maintain calm and choose not to be lured into reacting BUT instead choose to handle the situation with flair, brains and popular support from the rakyat. We must maintain calm so as not to step into UMNO's trap. Let them self-destruct like they are going through now. No need to use our own hands to destroy our enemies, their own actions will. Change is coming to Malaysia!!!

He has gone down so low as to listen to and agreed to the bigots who are currently undergoing Police investigation under the Sedition Act.Probably he thought he was acting as an UMNO leader, but then the top chap had asked the Police to investigate! Why be so baised? Why not apprehend the bigots? At least show some respect for your leader who is trying to promote his 1MalaysiaThis is not a case of
someone who is suspected of insulting Islam, this is a case on many people intentionally insulting another religion.
Can you not understand that?If you can't then you are obviously not fit to be the Home Minister. You should ask for a transfer to become one of the many ministers in the PM"s Department

hishammudin should respect the law, let the law take it's cause and let the culprit face the justice, he shouldn't be the judge, he's not above the LAW !!
if this insulting sedition act is allowed, than we would have more cow heads, pig heads, dog heads in future. and all the robbers, rapists, murderers could go to see hishammudin and say they have nothing to do with the crime and have no intention to commit the crime, than shammudin could be their lawyer and declaim them innocent !! so, malaysia no need LAW anymore !!

let us leave religion and race out. Nilai kasih sayang dan hormat menghormati are some of the nilais that are taught to non-muslim children during their pendidikan moral lessons. Please explain what made a group of people decapitate the head of an animal and treat it with such contempt and babarism. we teach our children to menghormati semua insan. But then here we are not dealing with children or animals, are we?

UMONO youth is the god and king of the country. What they said is the gospel truth and righteous. They have the right to be racists and to condemn others. Unfortunately not any other people or parties, even its own component parties can or have the power to do that. When you have this sort of imbalances in power and rights, how can things be fair and good over time for the country. The country has been running on remote and on borrow time and resources while the government continue to milk and clean up the country. Yes Malaysia is growing. But we are not growing fast and good enough. We are growing but we are falling behind when we compares with other developing countries. So how can that be good at all. It shows we are incompetent, and weak in managing the country. In this modern era of speed in communication and information, things will catch up eventually. And this is really what is happening now.
People power is on the rise. More people should voice up their right for being a human and for their right to life itself and the right to practice their freedom. That is the basic of the human life law. No human, party, government or group can make that change or take that away. It is the basic tenet of human life and right.
The government is abusing that right of its people and it is blatantly distorting things to fit its way at its whim and fancy. The government is blatantly playing with the life of its people. This is no different than what the Khmer Rouge, CPM, ...have done.
UMNO is not a party for the country but itself. Not even Malay or Malaysia but rather for it very own existence. Playing the race card is what it is good at in keeping the balance of power, so that it can continue to milk the country of its people wealth.
All the commotion of religion, race, right, education, fairness, NEP,....are only for its own sake and for its own convenience.
When you have a party that only think of itself, the country is doom for failure and for evil means and things. This situation has reached a very critical and pathetic proportion that it seems only a fierce or ugly revolt from its people can this country takes a turn for the better.Let all hope that it does not reach that day to happen !
Managing and leading a country are the same as that of a large corporation. No corporation can runs well and effectively if its leader is weak and its staffs becomes political and incompetent. When you have staffs that are political and incompetent, they will encourage corruption, lies, diversion, inefficency, distortion.....Sooner or later things will catch up and come around. This is what is happening to GM, AIG, Lehman, Enron, etc... Sooner or later we will be like these corporations.
God save Malaysia.
