KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 – MIC Youth will not allow Makkal Sakthi, which will be launched on Oct 10, to become an alternative party to the Indian community.
MIC Youth chief T. Mohan said although the party would be launched by Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the movement would not compromise if it was aimed at replacing the MIC in BN.
“Datuk Seri Najib, as the prime minister, has every right to launch any new party but it is not appropriate if is aimed at decimating the MIC, which had served BN for 63 years,” he told a news conference here today.
Makkal Sakthi Malaysia is headed by R.S. Thenenthiran, 47, a founder of Hindraf, which had been declared an illegal organisation.
“MIC Youth will certainly protest if any new party is to replace the MIC (in BN) for whatever reasons. There will be no compromise,” said Mohan.
Mohan said many new parties would emerge but they would not be able to gain the confidence of the people and the MIC’s contributions would not be forgotten.
On the Bagan Pinang by-election, he said the movement would organise a telematch, a carnival and a concert in Indian-majority areas – the Siliau, Bradwall and Antherton estates. – Bernama

As Indians there is very little there is out there that can unite them except a good fight over nothing. If Hindraf failed to capitalise on their demonstrated position of lever to the outcomes of both sides of the great divide at the last elections, they must pay for that failure. Momentum does not last forever in politics.
Carpe Diem. Seize the moment (or the day) and they failed to do so. Makkal Sakti grabed the podium where Hindraf leaders were busy engaged in defending their individual positions, a lack of cohesive policies and creating petty dynasties with their daughters and wives as if this were Tamil Nadu.
Move on and seize every opportunity out there. There is no moral in politics but the morality of politics itself and the rule of the quick, the opportunist and the cunning. Hindraf fails on all counts. As for MIC they remain a dysfunctional Tamil labourers party. They will garner nothing and go nowhere unless they purge their leadership ranks of the mouldy old rudderless swill that rule there.

U all should know whatever facilities indians in M'sia get all thru'
MIC not any other parties.
Come on man! V r split in almost 11 parties.Does that show our unity?
Indians generally gd at commenting things.Nowhere in d world Tamils r united.
Talk big without knowing facts.
All the indians who r split in d 11 parties should join up in MIC n show ur power.
The govt favours more indian parties coz it's their trick of d trade.
It's d 'divide and rule'factor as what d British did.
My dear friends! Think of indian's future most of all ,our children!
