Police awaiting analysis on Khir Toyo death threat letter

KUALA SELANGOR, Oct 1 – The police were still awaiting reports relating to the analysis on a death threat letter received by Selangor opposition leader Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo.

Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said he could say for certain when the analysis on fingerprints and the DNA conducted by experts, including those from the Chemistry Department, would be ready.

“The analysis would assist us in the investigation into the case,” he told reporters after witnessing the handing over of duty of Kuala Selangor police chief here today.

Khir Toyo, who is Sungai Panjang assemblyman, received the handwritten letter in Malay on Sept 17.

At the ceremony, Kuala Selangor acting police chief DSP Zulkifli Jonit handed over the duty to acting Supt Mohd Taib Ahmad, 49, who was previously Negeri Sembilan Police Contingent personnel services staff officer. – Bernama
