KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 – Toll collection on the Senai Desaru Expressway (SDE) will start on Friday in three toll plazas namely in Senai, Ulu Tiram and Cahaya Baru.
In a statement, Malaysian Highway Authority director-general Datuk Ismail Md Salleh said the SDE would implement the close toll collection system and that toll charges would be based on the distance covered.
For Class 1 vehicles, the toll rate is 14.96 sen per kilometre, Class 2 (22.43 sen), Class 3 (29.91 sen), Class 4 (7.48 sen) and Class 5 (5.61 sen).
“For class 5 vehicles, a 50 per cent discount is given until Sept 14 next year,” he said. – Bernama
