ALOR STAR, Nov 7 – Kedah Umno has come up with the tagline ‘BN Wins, Kedah Prospers’ to spur its members to work harder in capturing the state from the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) government.
Kedah Umno Liaison Secretary Datuk Ir. Nawawi Ahmad said the official launching of the slogan would be graced by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the ‘Gerak Mesra 1 Malaysia’ function in Yan near here on Nov 12.
“We are determined to do better because if this state continues to be governed by the opposition, it will lose the continuity and ties with the federal government,” he told reporters at the Tunku Building here, today.
Nawawi said Kedah had only seen regress since the PR government took over and hoped the situation would be rectified by a Barisan Nasional (BN) win in the next general election. – Bernama
