Jayanthi not the missing key witness, says MACC

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 11 – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said today the individual produced by a Parti Keadilan Rakyat member of parliament in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday was not the missing key witness in the investigations into the Lingam video clip.

In a statement, the MACC said it had already taken the statement of the individual concerned, Jayanthi Naidu.

The MACC issued the statement following news reports of Subang MP R. Sivarasa producing the witness in parliament, claiming that Jayanthi was the missing key witness in MACC's investigations into the Lingam video tape scandal.

Jayanthi was Lingam's secretary until 1995. – Bernama
