KOTA BAHRU, Nov 15 – Kelantan Umno Youth today urged Datuk Nik Abdul Nik Aziz Nik Mat to vacate the mentri besar post, saying that the PAS spiritual leader’s decision to cancel his plan to perform the Haj in Mecca does not prove his innocence.
The state Umno Youth chief Anuar Safian also asked Nik Aziz’s son-in-law, Ariffahmi Abdul Rahman to resign as the Kelantan Mentri Besar Corporation (PMBK) CEO for alleged abuse of power.
“While the case is under investigation, Nik Aziz, along with Ariffahmi, should resign to save the state from embarrassment,” Anuar told reporters here.
He was speaking outside the Kelantan federal building after submitting a memorandum to the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) urging the body to hasten the investigation.
Nik Aziz had admitted that he had received sponsorship amounting to RM65,000 from a businessman linked to PMBK to perform the Haj.
He also said that the sponsorship is not a bribe adding that he had received numerous offers from many people who were willing to pay for the trip.
“The Mentri Besar cannot accept any form of sponsorship from any party especially from those who have benefited from Kelantan’s natural resources, as he is the head of the state government,” said Anuar in his memorandum to the MACC.
“Although it was reported that the Mentri Besar had cancelled his plan to perform the ritual, it does not mean that there was no element of corruption,” he added.
On Ariffahmi’s alleged wrongdoings, Anuar claimed in the memorandum the PMBK chief had appointed contractors for various jobs in the state investment arm without going through proper procedure.
The MACC probe against the PMBK began last week and had resulted in the sacking of its corporate liaison officer Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz for allegedly leaking the corporation’s information to the MACC and conspiring with Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen.
Syed Azidi had denied all the allegations against him and asked Ariffahmi to resign calling him a liability to Nik Aziz’s administration.

TGNA is the icon for PR and can any BN leaders be more clean than he is? If a BN statesman is helmed at the top for the years TGNA is there, he will be super rich, but look at the real leader of the Rakyat TGNA.
A good example is the Sarawak CM who had been at the helm for years, compare the two and everything is absolutely clear. No need to dwell further, on whom the Rakyat wants.

But for now he is doing Allah's work and still has to remain to teach his PAS party how to apply the Hadiths against racism and cannot resign at this time. Also it is ridiculous that he should resign just after his party has made significant gains in GE12. There would be no continuity if he resigned.
Tok Guru can resign, but his legacy of integrity and belief in the equality of man will first have to be an integral part of PAS before he retires.

Soliciting for sponsorship is not corruption but soliciting with threats or return in favor over business deal with the State Gomen to the potential sponsors definitely is.
The Gomen need to ask the sponsors to show proof that Nik Aziz has threatened them other wise you UMNOputras please shut up.

Why topple the PR states one by one, do it with a bit more economy and topple them all at once.
Najib claims he is at the height of his popularity and Samy Vellu claims credit for bringing the Indians back to BN. Now put that to the test!

Will Perak do the same? Will Najib do the same?

I do not know whether they realize it or not but this type of action by Kelantan Umno youth would only serve to make the people more disgusted with them.

"UMNO Kelantan attempts to pressure Nik Aziz into Resigning" would be more accurate.
This is an own goal if I have ever seen one.
But thank you, UMNO Kelantan. Thanks to your precedent, we can now demand and submit memorandums for MBs ro resign based on perceived corruption. Gosh, someone needs to compile a list of politicians who should resign based on perceived corruption. I'm sure we can find plenty from both sides.
We can even have a scoreboard to compare the numbers of perceived corrupted MPs and MBs from each side. The side with the lowest percentage number wins the fence-sitter vote!
