KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 — A panel of three judges has been assembled to hear the joint bid by the Election Commission and ousted Kota Siputeh assemblyman Datuk Abu Hasan Sarif to stay the High Court’s decision declaring the seat vacant.
They are Datuk Sulong Mat Jeraie, Datuk Kang Hwee Gee and Datul Abdul Aziz Abd. Rahim.
Earlier, senior Federal counsel from the Attorney-General’s Chambers, Datuk Kamaludin Md. Said, acting for the Election Commission, confirmed that the Court of Appeal will hear their appeal against the ruling calling for a by-election.
Meanwhile, the legal team for the Kedah Speaker was caught unawares when contacted. Lawyer Edmund Bon told The Malaysian Insider that this echoes the Perak constitutional wrangle earlier this year.
“Same team, same nature of case,” said Bon, who added that he had to cancel his appointments for the rest of the day and rush to Putrajaya straight away.

why involve in politics? I think Umno gang cannot afford
to have the table overturned whereby now EC cannot campur
with the legislature whereas they were all powerful in Perak debacle
But then again umno can bend the laws to fit
Respect the judges please ha ha ha ha I respect a cow more!

Why bother, with or without the by-election, the politician who get elected will have one primary motive-to MAKE MONEY. How to swindle the RAKYAT's money and make him rich.
Let not bother with these by-elections, a ego trip for Najib and Anwar. Look at the big picture, TURN THE TABLES AROUND, SEND A STRONG MESSAGE during the next General Elections, wakil rakyat to work for the RAKYAT. Reject crooks and self serving politicians. Do Not give them prominance, the next tim a wakil rakyat comes to your neighbour hood, do not go for the function. No more VIP/VVIP treatment, they should be the ones treating us as a VVIP after all we put them there. We are the so called 'Employer'.
Let turn the tables around- the next time a function is organized- let the Y.B come early and he and his team ensure that we are accorded the VVIP treatment- reserved car park- reserved table seating and etc.
