Anand K.Pillai (a.k.a.  K.Anand) was a STAR first, then a LEADER.  He is also the number one Gooner (that's Arsenal supporter, for the uninformed) in Malaysia. His love for writing on football comes a close second. He promises to be fair and balanced when writing about the scum, namely ManU and Spurs, but hopes readers will excuse the occasional lapse.

A Terry-ble state of affairs

FEB 7 — It is not hard to imagine what must be going through the minds of Chelsea players these days.

My guess is that they must be contributing a small portion of their huge salary to a “follow the captain” fund that pays for private investigators to tail the captain wherever he goes.

Honestly, it’s really quite difficult not to laugh at the predicament that John Terry has put himself in. No matter what he does in life henceforth, he will be known as the man who slept with a teammate’s wife.

JAN 19 — Recently, someone whom I consider a very close and trusted friend, and who is a Muslim, wrote an email to me with a very simple question: “What was The Herald asking for exactly?”

As someone who knew what the issue was from the start, having once been a freelance contributor to The Herald, I gathered my thoughts and spoke to a few relevant people and started writing down the facts of the whole issue.

Life, death and football

JAN 17 — Out of death, destruction and pain, I have learnt that sometimes good can come out too.

Relaxing over the past few days at a cosy resort in the middle of the jungle, attending a spiritual getaway, I truly enjoyed the peace and serenity.

Transition was the theme and I was ready to face up to the possibilities of transcending to a better place, while still in this world.
