LONDON, Aug 24 — David Guetta's "Sexy Chick" featuring Akon moved to the top of the UK singles charts yesterday, climbing 20 places to the head of the table to knock the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" into second.
That pushed Tinchy Stryder's "Never Leave You" featuring Amelle into third place, with Calvin Harris and "Ready for the Weekend" in fourth and Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams" rounding out the top five.
There was a new entry at number seven for Esmee Denters with "Outta Here," while Peter Andre's "Behind Closed Doors," capturing attention in part due to his publicised separation from wife Katie Price, dropped five spots to number nine.
In the albums chart, two new entries filled the top spots, with Calvin Harris's album "Ready for the Weekend" grabbing the headline position, while Tinchy Stryder and "Catch 22" went straight in at number two.
That knocked Beyonce down a notch with "I am Sasha Fierce" in third — the 40th week in the album chart — and the Black Eyed Peas were in fourth with their album "The End."
The top five was founded out by Paolo Nutini's "Sunny Side Up," which has now spent 12 weeks in the top 40.
Last week's number one, Michael Jackson's "The Essential" album, dropped five places to number 6, but the album has now spent 40 weeks in the charts. — Reuters
