May 11, 2012

GEORGE TOWN, May 11 — A man was found dead outside the Penang Hospital today, where he is believed to have fallen from the third floor of the building.

The man had been hospitalised there since a week ago for suspected tuberculosis.

Timur Laut district police chief ACP Gan Kong Meng said that before the 1pm incident, the 68-year-old man had complained to nurses and doctors saying that he could not stand the pain he was suffering.

“A nurse lodged a police report at the Timur Laut district police headquarters on finding the body,” he said when contacted here, today.

The case was classified as sudden death.

The body was sent to Forensics Department of the Penang Hospital for a post-mortem. — Bernama
