Pakistani charged with property agent’s slaying
PETALING JAYA, Aug 13 — A Pakistani man was charged with the murder of a real estate agent in Ara Damansara last month, at the Magistrates' Court here today.
No plea was recorded however from the accused, Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan, 25, who was unrepresented.
He was jointly charged, with several others still at large, with the murder of Tang Yong Ching, 45, at Jalan PJU 1A-3N Ara Damansara, here on July 5.
He faces the mandatory death sentence upon conviction under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Ishtiaq pleaded guilty, however, to three counts of cheating two women and a man at two supermarkets by using a debit card to obtain a couple of laptops, between July 5 and 6.
Magistrate Nor Afidah Idris set September 18 for mention and deputy public prosecutor Saphirra Selamat prosecuted.
The real estate agent had been reported missing. The discovery of his body near a river in Ara Damansara on July 12 was covered by the media. — Bernama
