Fiona Apple details deluxe package of ‘The Idler Wheel…’
LOS ANGELES, May 13 — American singer Fiona Apple is gearing up to finally release her first album since 2005's critical hit Extraordinary Machine, and just released details on a deluxe edition of the new album, titled in full The Idler Wheel Is Wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More than Ropes Will Ever Do.
The album is due out June 18/19 on Clean Slate/Epic Records with the first single, "Every Single Night," now available digitally on iTunes. The album will feature 10 new tracks, including several debuted during her recent tour dates in the US — her first shows outside of Los Angeles in five years.
Pre-order the album now and you'll receive the new single immediately, which will be available on CD, 180-gram vinyl, digitally, and in a deluxe CD/DVD package. The deluxe version features the bonus track "Largo," a DVD that contains five songs from her performance at this year's SXSW in Austin, a fold-out poster and a book filled with lyrics, drawings, sketches, and personal photos.
Her North American tour kicks off on June 19 in Ithaca, New York, and so far wraps up July 24 in Vancouver.
