Agong, Permaisuri attend wedding of Hisham’s daughter

Their Majesties were welcomed by the home minister and his wife, Tengku Datin Seri Marsilla Tengku Abdullah.

During the event, Tuanku Abdul Halim and Tuanku Hajah Haminah performed the “merenjis” and “tepung tawar” to bless the newlyweds, Nasha Alyssa Hishammuddin, 23, and Muhd Anas Zawawi Khalid, 25.

The reception was also attended by the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, Sultanah of Pahang, Sultanah Kalsom, Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah, Tengku Puan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Iskandar and Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob and wife Toh Puan Zurina Kassim.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, former prime ministers Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and their wives Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali and Tun Jeanne Abdullah were among distinguished guests at the event.

The couple took their wedding vows at the bride’s home in Taman Tun Abdul Razak, Ampang Jaya on November 24 and the reception was held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) yesterday.

Nasha Alyssa runs a beauty centre in the city while Muhd Anas Zawawi, the eldest son of Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa and his former wife, Tengku Zawiyah Tengku Izham, is involved in a business dealing with information technology.

Khalid, who is now married to pop diva Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin, and Tengku Zawiyah were also present at the function.

About 1,000 guests were there to celebrate the union of Nasha Alyssa and Muhd Anas Zawawi. — Bernama
