Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, who was satisfied with the celebration this year, said there was no other city as good as Putrajaya to host the event.
“We believe the organisation of the carnival will raise the enthusiasm of the young and the love for Putrajaya. It will simultaneously continue the success of the country,” he told reporters after visiting the media centre, here today.
Ahmad Shabery said the event, organised in conjunction with National Youth Day, was also joined by tourists, among them, from Thailand, Singapore and Japan.
“Our country does not have a big carnival like the Million Youth Rally this year, and, surely, this event will be remembered. The gathering this time is far more lively and is unique in the way it was done. The gathering was the nation’s biggest in terms of creativity and activities,” said Ahmad Shabery.
He said the 500 activities held during the five-day carnival and the overall success of its organisation was due to the creativity of the youths. — Bernama
