Baby boy dies in two-car crash
SEREMBAN, July 28 — A baby died at the Malacca Hospital early today, more than three hours after he was flung out of his father’s car in a two-vehicle collision at the 232.5km North-South Expressway.
Faris Iqbal Abdullah Faiq Irfan, six months, died at the hospital’s intensive care unit about 2am.
He sustained head injuries in the crash which occurred about 10.30pm.
His parents, Faiq Irfan Abdullah, 38, and Faniseh Mohamad, 35, are recuperating in the hospital with shoulder injuries.
The driver of the other car escaped injury.
A police spokesman said Faiq Irfan’s car collided with another before it crashed into a concrete divider.
He said the impact caused Faris Iqbal to be flung out of the car. — Bernama
