Bersih rally: Undergrad turns himself in to police
KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 — A university student today surrendered himself to the police to help in investigations into last Saturday’s Bersih rally in the city.
The Universiti Teknologi Mara undergraduate, 22, a second-year law student, came to the city police headquarters with family members and friends.
He was detained and sent to the Cheras district police headquarters for further investigation, according to a Bernama report.
Police had earlier distributed pictures of 91 individuals who could help in investigations into the chaos and violence that took place at the rally.
Of the total, 22 were believed to be university students.
