Body of man found under bridge

July 06, 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, July 6 — A man, believed to be a foreigner, was found dead under the Taman Seri Pandyan bridge at Jalan Puchong today.

Brickfields district police chief ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said the body, with injuries to the head, believed to be inflicted by a hard object, was discovered by passers-by at about 11am.

He said no personal documents were found on the victim who was clad in shorts.

The body was sent to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, in Temerloh, a decomposed body of a senior citizen, identified as Mohd Sharif Ibrahim, 76, was found in a house at Kampung Seri Ketumbit Kerdau.

Temerloh district police chief ACP Mohd Noor Mansur said the body was found by a neighbour who went to check on a stench emanating from the house.

Police believed Mohd Sharif, who lived alone in the house after his wife passed away more than 10 years ago, died four days ago.

Police have ruled out foul play and believed the victim died from natural causes. — Bernama
