Boy, 6, dies in fall from apartment
GEORGE TOWN, May 24 — A six-year-old boy died after falling from the first floor of the Desa Mawar Apartment in Farlim, Ayer Itam last night.
Timur Laut district police chief ACP Gan Kong Meng said the tragedy happened at 6pm when V. Kavin Raj was playing near the stairs and he slipped.
“The victim was being playful with his elder sister by walking backwards when asked to return to their home on the third floor,” he told reporters today.
Penang Hospital Forensic Department head Datuk Dr Zahari Noor said the victim died as a result of a strong blow to his head.
The case has been classified as sudden death. — Bernama
