September 14, 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — Police are hunting down a man who threw acid on his ex-wife’s lover at the Third Mile, Jalan Ipoh, here, on Wednesday.

Sentul police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan said the victim was riding his motorcycle with the suspect’s ex-wife, when the suspect rammed them from behind with his own motorcycle.

After the incident at 8.30pm, both sides stopped their motorcycles.

“The suspect then took out a bottle containing acid and threw its content in the victim’s face before escaping,” he told a press conference at the Kepong Police Station, here, today.

He said the victim was injured on the face, neck and left eye and was being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital with his condition reported to be stable.

Police believe jealousy was the motive for the attack. — Bernama
