‘Datuk’ wanted over Seri Kembangan killing
SHAH ALAM, Aug 16 — Police are looking for a businessman, believed to be a “Datuk Seri”, and his son to assist investigation into the death of a trader at Downtown, The Mines, Seri Kembangan last Monday.
Selangor police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah identified them as Jaafar Shaari, 50, and Ahmad Jiwari @ Wari, 23.
“Jaafar’s last known address was No 3, Jalan P11 K/12, Precinct 11, Putrajaya, while Ahmad Jiwari at Lot 141, Kampung Pedas Hilir, Jalan Kundur, Pedas, Negeri Sembilan,” he told reporters at his office here today.
In the 2am incident on Monday, the victim, Azhari Sidek, was said to have taken a table, which had been left on the five-foot pathway, to a place near his stall.
However, a man, said to be operating a business in the area, claimed that the table was his and then called a few friends and then allegedly assaulted Azhari.
In another development, Tun Hisan said police had arrested a suspect in the rape-cum-murder of Sabturiah Faisal, a 19-year-old factory worker who was found dead in a flat unit at Jalan Taming 2, Taming Jaya near Balakong last Monday.
