Firemen rescue three foreign tourists lost in Pangkor Island forest

LUMUT, Jan 31 – Three foreign tourists lost their way while trekking in the Teluk Dalam forest reserve on Pulau Pangkor, near here, today.

Pulau Pangkor Fire and Rescue station head Mohd Nadzir Abdul Razak said the station received an emergency call on the incident at 2pm before five firemen were dispatched to the forest reserve.

“According to the report received, the three foreign nationals comprised two Frenchmen Saladin Lorene, 24, and Edmond Jonathan, 26, and an Austrian, Hervet Skcenkr, who came as tourists to the island.

“They were trekking in the Teluk Dalam forest reserve at 10am and were reported missing after they failed to find their way out after several hours,” he said.

He said the search took an hour and fifteen minutes before they were found not far from the place they were reported missing. – Bernama
