Former deputy education minister Mahadzir Khir dies from heart attack
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 – Former deputy education minister Datuk Dr Mahadzir Mohd Khir passed away at 5pm today from a heart attack. He was 67.
NST Online, quoting an Umno online portal, said his body will be taken to his home in Section 14, Petaling Jaya. He is expected to be buried tomorrow morning.
Mahadzir was born in Kedah on May 16, 1945. He was the member of parliament for Sungai Petani after winning the seat in the 1999 general elections.
