Four more Bersih rally participants arrested

KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 — Police detained four more participants of Bersih’s April 28 rally whose photographs were distributed via the media, bringing to 16 the number of people arrested until today.

An officer at the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department, ASP Azmi Aziz said the four participants, aged between 20 and 50, were detained at separate locations in Penang, Seremban and Batu Pahat.

They were now being held at the Dang Wangi police station here for investigation into their alleged involvement in the rally, he added.

Police have released 141 photographs of rally participants through the media where of the 16 arrested so far, eight have been charged. — Bernama
