KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 — The Muslim celebration of Aidilfitri will begin tomorrow, according to an announcement made by the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal Datuk Syed Danial Syed Ahmad this evening.

“In adherence to the command of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the consent of the rulers, I hereby declare that the date for Hari Raya Puasa (Aidilfitri) has been set for Tuesday, August 30 2011,” he said during the announcement broadcast on Radio Television Malaysia (RTM).

Aidilfitri marks the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which began this year on August 1, and the start of Syawal in the Islamic calendar.
