The announcement was broadcasted by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM).
“In adherence to the command of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and (with) the consent of the rulers, I hereby declare that the date for Hari Raya Puasa (Aidilfitri) has been set for Sunday, August 19 2012,” he said. — Bernama
