KLUANG, Feb 2 – The Home Ministry (KDN) will hold a meeting with the distributor of ‘Vishwaroopam’ to discuss screening of the film in the country.
Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the meeting with Lotus Five Star Sdn Bhd scheduled for next week seek to study the issue on the controversial film.
“I know the owner of the film’s distribution company. We are looking for a solution to the problem,” he told reporters after the Prophet Muhammad birthday celebration for Sembrong parliamentary constituency in Felda Ulu Belitong, near here today.
Hishammuddin reminded all parties, especially Barisan Nasional (BN) components and the people to understand the real issue about the film and not be swayed by statements from outsiders to avoid a polemic.
The film ‘Vishwaroopam’ premiered in the country on January 24 but screening was withdrawn the next day following a directive from KDN.
